This conference will be cohosted by the Confucius Institute of Portland State University and the Confucius Institute in Edmonton. Participants will include, but not limited to, executive directors of NorthAmerica CIs and CCs, persons in charge of Chinese language teacher training programs, Chinese language instructors, teachers and teacher trainees at colleges and universities, as well as K-12 school teachers both locally hired and Hanban-sent. The purpose of the symposium is to provide the opportunity for Chinese teachers and educators to share the new vision and practices of Chinese language teaching and learning.
