Especially pay attention to the transformation of person. Students are able to give advice by using “shouldcould”.Teaching and learning steps:Step I. Pre-listening activities1. Preview一、Put the following into English orally.1.票,入场券 2.使惊奇_ 3.风格;款式_ 4.播放 5.怎么了?_?二、Put the following into Chinese.1. keep out _ 2. out of style _3. a ticket to a ball game _ 4.argue with_ 5.call sb. up _ 6.on the phone _ (设计意图:本节课所学的短语和生词不多,并且比较简单.所以我们做题来检测学生的预习效果,及时发现学生预习中的难点加以突破。这样教师可以更有针对性地教,学生可以更有针对性的学。)2. Lead in1)Make a two-column chart on the board with the heading problem at the top of column 1 and the heading Advice at the top of column 2)T: I want to buy a new puter, but I dont have enough money .What should I do? Ask the students to tell you what you could do about it.ProblemI want to buy a new puter but I dont have enough money.AdviceWait until next year.Dont buy a new puter .Get a part-time job.Buy a second-hand puter. 3)Then the teacher read the problem to the class again. And write the words could, should and shouldnt on the board next to the chart. Help the class give advice using the words could, should ,and shouldnt.(通过让学生讨论这个问题,激发学生的兴趣,来引出本课的话题:让学生展开讨论。)4) Get students to look at the picture in 1a carefully . Ask the students to write the problems in the Serious or Not serious column. 5) Talk about the answers.Teacher: Who put “My parents want me to stay at home every night?” the serious column? Ask the same questions about the other items. Discuss which problems students thought were the most serious.6) Ask students to discuss with their classmates: When you find theres something wrong with your friend, how to talk about his or her problems and give your advice? When to use could and when to use should? What should we pay attention to?(本环节通过让学生联系实际进行讨论,既能解决学生生活中的实际问题又能使课堂气氛十分活跃,学生接受起来也比较轻松。)Step II. While-listening activities1. Listening for the general idea.Tell the Ss that two girls are talking about something. Ask the Ss to listen to their conversation and find out:What are they talking about ?_A. They are talking about the music.B. They are talking about their favorite singers.C. They are talking about girl2s problems.2. Listening for the specific ideas(1) Ask the Ss to listen again and circle the problem they hear in activity 1a.(2) Check the Ss answers and then ask the Ss to listen to the tape for 2a . Circle the word “could” or “should”.(3) Listen again, and ask the students to pay attention to Peters answers. Draw lines to match the advice with the reasons.(4) Ask the Ss to listen to the tape a third time and finish the tape scripts.Boy1: Hey, peter ,whats 1 ?Boy2: I had an 2 with my best friends . What should I do?Boy1: Well, you could write him a letter.Boy2: I dont think so. I dont like writing letters.Boy1: Maybe you should 3 him up.Boy2: No, I dont want to talk about it on the phone .Boy1: Well, you should say youre sorry. Boy2: Yes, I know I should, But its not easy.Boy1: Maybe you could go to his house.Boy2: I guess I could, but I dont want to 4 him.Boy1: Hey, I know. You could give him a 5 to a ball game.Boy2: Well, thats a good idea, but I dont have 6 money.(5) Check the Ss answers.(6) Listen and repeat.(设计意图:本部分的内容重在培养学生们听大意和听细节信息的能力,所以先帮助学生听出每个对话的大意再去完成后面对应的细节题。)Step III. Post-listening activitiesAsk the students to role the conversation between Peter and his friend:A: Whats the matter with Peter?B: I had an argument with my best friends . What should I do?A: You could write him a letter.B: I dont think so. I dont like writing letters.(设计意图:本部分的内容重在培养学生们口头表达的能力,同时通过复述引导学生更好地内化语言知识。旨在鼓励学生多用本课所学的知识,让学生在用英语中体会英语的用法。)Step IV. Inquiry into knowledge by translation一、I argue with my best friends. argue 为 ,其过去式和过去分词形式为 ,现在分词为 与某人辩论 ;争论某事: I often my classmates about the problem.我经常和我的同学辩论这个问题。They playing puter games.他们在为玩电脑游戏争论。二、Maybe you should buy some new clothes. Should是情态动词,意思是 。一般是用来提出 。没有人称和数的变话,后面接 。它也是 的过去式。如:- I have a very bad cold.我感冒很厉害。- You should ( lie ) down and (have) a rest . 你应该躺下,多喝水。Step V. Exercises: the end-of- class test根据句意及首字母提示补全所缺单词:1. I a_ with my best friend, so Im very upset.2. Whats w_ with you, Jenny?3. Close the window to k_ the wind out.4. Her clothes are out of s_.5. My brother plays his radio too (loud).(设计意图:本节课的翻译探究先让学生自己在组内讨论,并展示其答案,教师要多用肯定的语言对其鼓励表扬。若解决不出,让全班同学共同解决,最后老师再点拨。而且配有句子可以更好帮助学生理解知识点。)本节课亮点:1. 通过用我想买一台电脑而钱不够让学生来出主意,想办法。激发学生的兴趣,导入本课的主题,课堂讨论热烈。2. 在学习中尽量和现实生活相结合,既能解决学生生活中的实际问题又能使课堂气氛十分活跃,学习起来比较轻松。3. 通过多种形式来训练学生的听力能力。能有效的提高学生的能力。不足之处:本节课听力内容比较多,所以如果想更有效的完成本节课的任务,在时间安排上还需再注意,哪些环节可以把时间压缩还需再考虑。Answers:Step I.
