Ask the students to read the new words by themselves for a few minutes and guess the correct pronunciation. 2. Ask a few students to read the new words for the others to hear.3. Correct the students mistakes in reading4. Read the new words and expressions for students to follow.1). Explain Classical gardens in Suzhou.2). Show slides of some pictures and ask the students to answer questions.1. What can you see in the picture?2. Have you been to Suzhou?3. How much do you know about suzhou?4. Where is it?5. How many people live there?6. Why is it famous? 7. Do you know what happened in Suzhou in June 2004?3). They have suggested that the general public be encouraged to help with the problem.6. They can help by contributing to the cost of maintaining the caves.7.
