Green design to the IndustrialDesign has brought additional challenges, it also brings more opportunities.“绿色设计”与情感回归“绿色设计”是20 世纪 80 年代末出现的一股国际设计潮流。早在20 世纪 60 年代 末著名的工业设计师及教育家维可多佩帕尼克就出版了在设计界引起强烈反响的著作 为现实生活而设计,在书中提出了在当时与众不同的观点,他认为我们周边的事物 都是由设计师创造的,设计师在市场销售和用户满意度方面不单单只是起到“美化”的 作用,同时应强调设计师的社会及道德的伦理价值。这本书的深远影响一直延续到今天。进入 21 世纪,因世界各国政府对环境问题的重视有关环境保护法规的建立,企 业间的竞争,使得带有理想主义色彩的“绿色设计”潮流逐步有了现实意义。基于对环 境问题的重视和了解,人们已从20世纪60年代的过于激进的“绿色运动”,发展到现今 相对成熟的“绿色消费”行为,这为“绿色设计”带来了新的契机。设计师作为产品的主要策划者和创造者,对产品的各个阶段所产生的环境问题都会 有直接和间接的影响。尤其是往往由他们决定产品所选用的主要材料,产品如何制造 ? 采用何种特殊的表面处理方式以达到最终的表面效果 ?产品如何使用 ?用后的废弃物如 何处理?是否使用可回收或再利用的材料?设计师对众多问题起决定性的作用。更重要的是,设计师是连接产品与人之间的纽带。他们能引导并改变人们使用产品 的方式,同时对这些产品和服务负有责任。设计影响着人们的生活方式和社会文化的变 更。人们已逐渐习惯通过设计来体现自己的社会地位和个人品味。设计是“消费主义” 的推动者,促使产品式样的“有计划的废止”,加快产品的更换速度。设计还参与广告 活动,从而进一步刺激消费。设计能够使社会文化发生变革,而它们当中的大部分代表 了某些特定的生活方式,所以在理论上“绿色生活方式”也可能被人们称道和效仿,这 种生活方式并非必须异常节俭,而是倡导一种尽可能低调的朴素生活方式。工业设计的商业价值日益受到众多厂家的认同和重视,设计师在不少公司的研发部 门被委以重任,这一切使得设计师有机会展示他们对环保问题处理的能力,以及对环境 问题的道德责任感。“绿色设计”的范围也已从非主流领域向主流领域扩展。与“绿色设计”接近和相关的名称不少,本文中沿用人们常见的概念,统称从环境 角度考虑设计的设计方法为“绿色设计”。 “绿色设计”主要关注对自然的影响和解 决某些单独的问题,如资源和能量的利用率,通过回收减少废弃物等。在一些发达国家, 废弃的金属和塑料等大多已可以分类回收,或为重新利用而进行了分拣。为加强家庭垃 圾分拣而“应运而生“的废弃物处理方面的产品设计,成为当代工业设计的热点之一。 生态设计也称之为生命周期设计,即利用生态学的思想,在产品生命周期内优先考虑产 品的环境属性,除了考虑产品的性能、质量和成本外,还要考虑产品的回收和处理。同 时也要考虑到产品的经济性、功能性和审美等因素。产品生态设计其基本理论基础是产 业生态学中的工业代谢理论与生命周期评价。可持续性的设计是一个比前者范围更广的设计方法。涉及更多的方面,诸如民族未 来的发展相与之分享资源的后代的发展,如何在保证产品的功能的同时,减轻整个星球 的负担。典型的理论是,提高产品的效率的同时,推动与之相关的服务系统的发展:考 察产品对于用户的必要功能,延长产品的寿命;对于产品整个系统的可持续性的发展的 设计,比只对产品本身的设计更为重要。可持续性产品设计的重点在于影响产品生命周 期的外部因素的分析。此外,还有其它产品设计的优化方法如环保材料(可回收和循环利用的材料)的使 用。研究表明,为了改变对环境产生影响的挥霍性消费的现状,向地球资源可持续发展 的消费水平发展,我们的长远目标应是努力同产品建立起更强的长久的联系。为了这些 原由,在环保产品的开发中延长产品的寿命比其它的策略更重要,与此同时也要鼓励在 消费者中形成可持续、长期的消费方式。设计师同时也是设计风格和品位的缔造者,产品的视觉形象对环境保护也会产生间 接的影响。主要体现在产品寿命期限相对材料的选择两个方面。由于人们以往的生活方 式造成大量的产品品种的过时,以及产品频繁更换的速度对环境保护产生了不好的影 响,如果能延长产品寿命期限,就可以减少对资源无谓的浪费。研究表明,在促成现有 产品过时方面,消费者的心理因素和材质具有重要的作用。在物质经济相对繁荣的今天, 往往消费者的好恶直接决定着一些产品的“寿命”。从某些角度看,“绿色设计”不能被看作是一种风格的表现。成功的“绿色设计” 的产品来自于设计师对环境问题的高度意识,并在设计和开发过程中运用设计师和相关 组织的经验、知识和创造性结晶。目前大致有以下几种设计主题和发展趋势:1)使用天然的材料,以“未经加工的”形式在家具产品、建筑材料和织物中得到体 现和运用。2)怀旧的简洁的风格,精心融入“高科技”的因素,使用户感到产品是可亲的、温 暖的。3)实用且节能。4)强调使用材料的经济性,摒弃无用的功能和纯装饰的样式,创造形象生动的造型, 回归经典的简洁。5)多种用途的产品设计,通过变化可以增加乐趣的设计,避免因厌烦而替换的需求; 它能够升级、更新,通过尽可能少地使用其它材料来延长寿命;使用“附加智能”或可 拆卸组件。6)产品与服务的非物质化。7)组合设计和循环设计。我们并不可以简单地认为采用明显的可回收材料的产品就一定是“绿色产品”,因 为产品可回收性有可能成为加快产品废弃速度的借口,人们对可回收材料的外观的认可 程度也可能会对产品的销售产生影响。当“绿色设计”渐渐融入主流产品的设计时,设 计师所面对的不只是少数的“绿色狂热分子”,而是普通消费者。如果设计仅注重功能 性,而忽视用户的审美需求,则无法延长产品寿命。以人为本的设计思想源于欧洲文艺复兴时期的人道主义思想体系。提倡关怀人、重 视人、以人为中心的世界观。对现代的产品设计而言,以人为本的思想核心指的就是在 设计过程中,协调产品-社会-环境这三者之间的关系。人类认识和改造自然界,目的就 是为了给人类自身创造良好的生存条件和发展环境。然而,这个简单的道理,曾一再被 模糊和曲解。在过去相当长的时期内,人们的各种行为活动都是遵循以科学技术为手段, 以征服自然为目的,以物质财富的增长为动力的传统发展模式,在一定程度上破坏了人 类赖以生存的基础,人们在试图征服自然的同时,往往成为了被自然惩罚的对象。机器 大工业时代的工业产品就是个极典型的例子,他们的出现满足了人们的物质需求,可带 给人们更多的是情感上的失落和生活环境的重创。一再被自然警告后,人们开始意识到 以人为本的真谛在于对人性的真正关怀,人们开始挖掘人与社会与自然的和谐关系。而 产品设计中对产品情感化的追求以及对产品人性化的强调在以人为本的宗旨下顺理成 章。而人-社会-环境的和谐关系在产品设计中也可以被理解为人-产品-情感的和谐关系。 材料环保,工艺简捷,形态美观,制作精良的产品才是人们真正从心理上接受的。其次,价值观的强调也推动了人们对于情感的认知。在过去相当长的一段时期,设 计过程被看作是一个艺术过程,艺术家的审美代替了更多人的选择,往往用户只能是被 动接受。这样的结果,使得产品和用户之间的距离越加疏远,人们甚至感受不到产品带 来的任何功能以外的享受。人们内心的感受也因此变得麻木起来。随着市场运作方式的 改变,用户的思想更加主动的参与到了设计过程,设计者不再是艺术家,专业的设计师 应当调和各种设计因素的影响。好的设计追求的是价值观的认同,思想的共鸣,情感的 触动。设计有关情感的思考也就孕育在价值观树立的沃土里。另外,设计中对地域性民族文化的保护和发扬同样体现了人们对于情感的关注。设 计不再追求批量化、标准化所带来的单一审美,而是趋于多元化的考虑。设计中的情感 需求渐渐被意识到是多向的。地域性差别,名族文化的沉积以及习俗、惯例都在设计中 得以讨论和探究。最终,能体现名族特性和个性的产品才是设计的成功范例。这都是对 设计中情感注重的佐证。现代的产品设计,让人们意识到产品与人之间的交流关系,设 计的重点也放在如何定位用户对象的情感需求以及如何表达这种情感上,设计中对于情 感因素各种形式的考虑也变的比任何时候都更加周全。如果说设计理论的完善意味着人们对于设计的重新思考,那么新的设计类型的诞生 则是从实践出发的最实际需求及最直接反应的体现。越来越多有关于情感的问题被提到 设计的过程中来,于是人因设计、界面设计、交互设计、无障碍设计等等一系列关乎交 流和情感的设计
