21Last Tuesday I took my two daughters, a_1_ five and seven, to town by car. It began to rain hard so I decided I would leave the children in the car before I rushed into a shop. After all, Mikes company hadnt been doing very well for a long time, and neither had Alices. However, Mike had never expected both of them to be laid off at the same time.
