Chinese people have been celebrating the Spring Fsetival.Its celebrated in January or February and lasts for one month. Spring Festiva is like Christmas in western countries.People celebrate the festival to welcome the new year and show their love for their families and friends. Families get together on New Years Eve and have a big meal.During the festival ,we visit friends and relations to have fun together. The festival is best known for its dragon-boat races,especially in the southern places where there are many rivers and lakes. Its very popular. The rice dumpling is made of glutinous rice,meat and so on. You can eat different kinds of rice dumplings.They are very delicious. And Dragon Boat Festival is for Qu Yuan. He is an honest minister who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a river. Overall, the Dragon Boat Festival is very interesting!The Lantern FestivalLantern Festival is a Chinas traditional festival. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar year. Lantern Festival is one of the biggest holidays in China. Several days before Lantern Festival, people begin to make lanterns. Lanterns are made in the shape of different animals, vegetables, fruits and many, other things. While making lanterns people usually write riddles on lanterns. On the eve of Lantern Festival, all the lanterns are hung up. On Lantern Festival people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and guess the riddles on the lanterns. Perhaps you call see some wonderful folk performances,Dragon Dance and Yangko. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy.
