Teleprocessingstartedwiththeairlinereservationsystems wherethedistributionofcomputerdataisnotasimportantasthemaintenanceofaninventoryofseatsforthewholesystemandtheabilitytoaccesssuchaninventoryrapidlyatanumberofdistantpoints
