Module 8Sports lifeUnit 1 Daming wasnt chosen for the team last time.【数学目标】词汇stand for,memory,decision,noon ,seat,no way,kick,mad 句型1.What does HAS stand for?2But Daming wasnt chosen for the team last time.3How many matches have you played against HAS this year?4Remember to throw the ball,not kick it,Tony !5Hes so mad at us that hell try harder to win,just to show were wrong!重点难点1.本单元词汇和重点句子。2一般过去时的被动语态。【教学思路】本单元是Module 7的继续,在谈论篮球比赛的同时,在认知了一般现在时的被动语态的基础上学习一般过去时的被动语态,即was/were及物动词的过去分词。从图片及听力材料到对话紧紧围绕运动话题,了解熟悉的常用交际用语,并引入一般过去时的被动语态。对话部分引导学生跟读磁带,跟学语音、语调,并回答课后问题。学生既练习了听力又锻炼了思维能力。最后组织学生谈论最喜爱的运动和运动明星为下一单元作了铺垫。【教学准备】黑板,录音机,卡片,多媒体等。【教学过程】Step 1 Warming up教师利用问题导入新课。1Do you like sports?2Are you a member of the school basketball team?3Do you often win the matches?活动小结:先谈起学生感兴趣的运动话题,引起学生的兴趣,带着兴趣引入本单元正文。Step 2 Presentation1学习新单词。(1)教师出示两张画有长城和阳光的图片。教师补充:The Great Wall stands for China.The sunshine stands for the sunny day.让学生推测stand for意为“代表”。并让学生跟读短语。(2)T:I always forget to do something.I have a poor memory重复两遍,再问:what does memory mean?让学生推测memory意为“记忆”。让学生翻译:我记忆力很好。I have a good memory.学生跟读记忆单词。(3)教师出示二张单词卡片,动词decide,名词decision,并用其组成短语:decide to do sth决定做某事,make a decision做一个决定。让学生跟读decision。(4)教师展示第二张图片,画有太阳和指着12点钟的钟表,认识noon“中午”,拓展at noon“在中午”。让学生跟读记忆。(5)教师出示第三张画有座位的图片,教师问:What are these?引导学生回答:They are seats.让学生跟读记忆。(6)教师出示一组对话:S:May I not finish my homework?T:No way!根据情景让学生推测No way!的意思为“不可能”,要求学生用No way!编对话。熟练应用此口语。(7)出示第四张图片,图片显示动作“踢”,教读kick,让学生跟读记忆。T:Now listen up,please.We have finished learning all the words,please follow me twice again.2操练单词。(1)教师把带有单词的卡片拿出来让学生依次拼读,熟读记忆。(2)教师让学生按小组形式进行单词拼读、造句比赛。活动小结:图片教学形象、生动、贴切、易记忆。安排学生比赛记忆单词、造句,形式多样增强学生的学习兴趣。Step 3 Practice & Listening1让学生看Activity 1中的图片,并两人一组,描述图片。(教师用提问形式提供素材)(1)Who is that?(2)What is he doing?(3)Do you like sports?(4)Do you like playing basketball?请学生展示自己的对话,让其他学生判断句子的准确性、流畅性,表现好的给予鼓励和表扬。2Listen to the tape and check the words you hear.(1)教师播放教材Activity 2中录音,让学生认真听录音两遍,完成听力任务,将空白处填上正确的词汇。(2)让学生分组,研究讨论并给出答案,看哪组学生的正确率高。活动小结:通过听力训练,锻炼了学生听的能力,也让他们进一步熟悉了本课的目标语言。Step 4 Reading1Let students listen to the dialogue and pay attention to the words pronunciation and intonation.(1)教师播放对话录音,让学生仔细听录音,注意重要单词的语音和语调。(2)对于比较长的句子,让学生多听几遍,注意长句子的断句和连读,让学生跟读几遍。(3)教师将对话录音再放一遍,让学生逐句跟读。(4)听读完对话之后,让学生根据对话内容回答以下问题:Why does Tony look tired?Why did Tonys team lose last time?Why did Tony get angry at last?Betty and Lingling hope Tonys team will win,dont they?2Let the students translate the dialogue.(1)教师给几分钟的时间,让学生以组为单位来读对话并对对话进行逐句翻译。(2)教师读句子,让每组学生分别对句子进行翻译,给出自己的意见,选出最佳翻译方案,对翻译得最恰当的小组予以表扬。当学生翻译课文遇到困难时,教师及时给予帮助和指导。(3)订正上一环节的四个问题。加深对对话的理解,锻炼学生的阅读理解能力。3Language points.由学生找出文章中重点短语和句型,写在黑板上,一起学习,教师补充和拓展。(1)look tired看起来累look是系动词,后加形容词作表语。look _(年轻)look_(不开心)(2)stand for代表I _ _(代表)our class.(3)beat their team赢了他们队beat“赢”,后加对手。同义词win后加比赛和奖品。We _ (赢)the team from No.1 Middle School.Liu Xiang _ (赢)many prizes several years ago.(4)Thats no excuse!没有借口!(5)Face the truth.面对现实。(6)No way!不可能!(7)no chance没机会(8)be mad at sb生某人的气,同义词组为be angry with sb。My teacher _ _ _ (生的气) me yesterday.(9)cheer up使振奋起来,为欢呼(10)remember to throw the ball记得去扔那个球remember to do sth记得去做某事,remember doing sth记得做过某事。When you leave the classroom,remember _(关上)the door.I remembered _(关上门了)just now.4Act out the dialogue.以小组为单位分角色表演对话,教师选几组学生表演对话,锻炼学生的口语表达能力。活动小结:让学生自己去找文中的重点知识,发挥学生自主学习的能力,并通过习题的练习达到对知识巩固加深的目的。 Step 5 ConsolidationComplete the table,the sentences and the passage according to the conversation.(Activities 3,4,5)1让学生就对话内容自行思考填写,考查学生对对话的理解能力。2抽选几个小组展示答案及解释原因,看哪组学生讲解清楚、到位、大方。3其他小组如有不同意见及时作出补充和纠正。Answers to Activity 3:HAS;BIG;98;52;next Saturday;BIG Answers to Activity 4:(1)he is training for the big match(2)itll be a difficult match(3)win(4)try harder to winAnswers to Activity 5:memory;decision;noon;seats;kick;madStep 6 Pronunciation & Speaking1Let students listen to the tape and decide which words are weak and which words are strong(Activity 6)2Listen again and again and repeat the sentences.(训练学生的发音和音调)3让学生两人一组为单位,练习谈论他们最喜爱的球队和明星。活动小结:找几组学生分角色表演这个对话,使学生进入到对话情境中,能更好地理解课文,同时也锻炼学生们的口语表达能力。Step 7 Homework1Try to write a passage about your favourite sports teams or sports stars.2Memorize the words,main phrases and sentences in this unit.3Talk about your favourite sports star with your parents.【板书设计】Unit 1Daming wasnt chosen for the team last time.Main phrases: Main sentences:stand for Thats no excuse.at noon Thats not fair.no way remember to throw the ball.face the truth Didnt they beat you last time?nice work Daming wasnt chosen for the team last time.
