Match the words with the pictures.Read out the six words in the box and have the students repeat them after you.Ask them to look at the two pictures and decide which words go with which picture individually, then check their answers with a partner.Call back the answers from the whole class.2. Put these phrases in the correct order.Read out the phrases in the box and have the students repeat them.Call back the order from the whole class. 3. Number the days of the week.Read through the days in the box and have the students repeat them after you.Ask them to number the days 1-7, then check with a partner.Call back the answers from the whole class.Answers: Friday-6 Monday-2Saturday-7 Sunday-1Tuesday-3 Thursday-5Wednesday-4Preparation:Introduce the new language to the class as stem phrases:Function (a) Invitation: Would you like to (+infinitive) ?Function (b) Suggestion: Lets (+infinitive) ?Have them practise saying them, adding appropriate endings to the stems. (e.g. Student A: Would you like to go to the mountains?student B: Yes, lets go on Saturday.)4. Listen and choose the correct answer.Read out the two phrases and have the students repeat them.Play the recording through and ask the students to decide what Betty and Daming say, then check with a partner.Play the recording through again for them to check.Call back the answers from the whole class as plete sentences.5. Listen and readAsk the students to read the conversation silently.
