111Unit 1 Cultural relicsThe first periodThe analysis of teaching materials(教材分析):Vocabulary and some important sentence patterns play an important role in learning English . So this class will focus on reviewing the words and phrases of this unit to enlarge the students vocabulary , such as survive ,base ,select , design , remove, doubt , worth , prove and so on . At the same time ,this class will get the students to recite ten simple sentences . The analysis of students(学情分析):Most of our students vocabulary is limited , and they are not very interested in English learning . Besides , they are not very willing to recite words and sentences by themselves after class .So we must pay more attention to this and try our best to help them remember more words and expressions.Teaching goals for the students(教学目标):1. To get the students to remember the following words and phrases :cultural ,culture , valuable, survive, dynasty , amaze , select , design, style , decorate, jewel, reception, remove, wooden , doubt , former, rebuild , evidence, explode, entrance , debate, in search of , in the fancy style, belong to , in return , a troop of , serve as , at war, less than , take apart , the entrance to , think highly of .2. To get the students recite the following ten sentences :(1) You are very fat, so you should eat less.(2) The day broke, for birds began to sing.(3) He came to our school last year and he is our monitor now.(4) The house is not big enough for us but it is close to our school.(5) We were just about to go out when it began to rain.(6) We love peace, however, we dont fear war.(7) Ive worked a great deal harder, but I am making little progress.(8) Would you like a cup of coffee or shall we get down to business right away?(9) We must get up early tomorrow, or well miss the first bus to the World Expo.(10)She thought I was talking about her daughter, while, in fact, I was talking about mine.3.
