Minimum working age : 15 years old (under 15 years old is not employable) Work restrictions/conditions: When hiring a child under 18 years of age (but above 15)Not Under 18 years old - Maximum working hours per day: 8 hours (8.00-17.00 hours) Prohibited to work on public holidays or work overtime hoursEmployment at night time (between 22.00-6.00 hours) is prohibited unless granted permission by director-generalA child must be given a rest period of one hour for every four hours and must be allowed at least one hour of uninterrupted rest for the first four hours of the working day. Prohibited work: Thai children under the age of 18 cannot be employed inMetal work (smelting, stamping, blowing, rolling and casting)Work involving dangerous sound/temperature/lightWork involving hazardous chemicals, poisonous microorganisms, toxic and flammable material workTHE LAWS IN THAILAND ON CHILD LABOR Pay Regulations:- Employer must directly pay wages and salary to the child- Demands or receiving deposits of money from the child is strictly prohibited Reporting Obligations: - Employer must notify the labor inspector within 15 days of the childs start date - When terminating a childs employment, the Employer must notify the labor inspector within seven days of the childs final work date.
