3. Box 247, Nihonbashi, Tokyo, 103-8691, JapanAbstract:With the development of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), the amount of related research is growing rapidly in China. A lot of accomplishments have been achieved in all branches of the satellite navigation field, especially motivated by the BeiDou Program. In this paper, the current status, technologies and developments in satellite positioning and navigation in China are introduced. Firstly, an overview and update of the BeiDou Program is presented, known as the three-step development strategy for different services. Then signal design for the BeiDou system is discussed, including the generation of pseudo-random noise (PRN) codes for currently available signal B1, and the investigation of a new signal modulation scheme for interoperability at open frequency B1C. The B1C signal should comply to Multiplexed Binary Offset Carrier (MBOC) constrains, and a modulation called Quadrature Multiplexed BOC (QMBOC) is presented, which is equivalent to time-multiplexed BOC (TMBOC) for GPS and composite BOC (CBOC) for Galileo, while overcomes the drawback of CBOC. Besides, the inter and intra system compatibility is discussed, based on the effective C/N0 proposed by International Telecommunication Union (ITU). After that, receiver technologies in challenging environments are introduced, such as weak signal acquisition and assisted GNSS (A-GNSS). Moreover, a method of ambiguity mitigation for adaptive digital beam forming (ADBF) in large spacing antenna arrays is proposed, by which interference suppression is available. Furthermore, cutting edge technologies are brought in, including seamless navigation for indoor and outdoor, and collaborative navigation. After all, GNSS applications in China for industry and daily life are shown, as well as the market prospection. Its indispensable to select an efficient ionospheric model and predict the value of TEC. In this paper, the Klobuchar14 parameter model is introduced and the time series of the 14 parameters for ten years are generated by fitting the TEC in China region with the model. Then, with the two-variable regression analysis, the relationship between the time series and the sunspot and the 10.7cm solar radio flux is established. In addition, the periodic function is introduced to fit the time series. Finally, with the AR model, the series of the 14 parameters are predicted and the forecast of the TEC in China region is produced. The accuracy assessment of the prediction shows the feasible of this method. ©2009 IEEE.Number of references:10Main heading:Time series analysisControlled terms:Forecasting - Ionosphere - Ionospheric measurement - Navigation - Regression analysis - Satellite navigation aids - Time seriesUncontrolled terms:14 parameters - Accuracy assessment - AR models - China region - Ionospheric model - Parameter model - Periodic function - Satellite navigation - Satellite navigation systems - Solar radio fluxClassification code:922.2 Mathematical Statistics - 921 Mathematics - 912.2 Management - 716.3 Radio Systems and Equipment - 711.1 Electromagnetic Waves in Different Media - 944.8 Radiation Measurements - 655.2 Satellites - 481.3 Geophysics - 443.1 Atmospheric Properties - 434.4 Waterway Navigation - 431.5 Air Navigation and Traffic Control - 655.1 Spacecraft, GeneralDatabase:CompendexCompilation and indexing terms, Copyright 2015 Elsevier Inc.四、Elsevier ScienceDirect(Abstract: AbstractWeather and ocean states such as ocean winds, ocean waves, and ocean currents can significantly affect ship navigation. To fully understand the currents effect on navigational fuel and time costs, especially in the case of strong western boundary currents such as the Kuroshio Current, an in-depth examination of how the Kuroshio Current quantitatively affects ships is needed. This article presents simulations, based on the Princeton Ocean Model (POM), in the North Pacific Ocean and focuses on the ocean surface current in the East China Sea (ECS). Then, several numerical simulations of ship navigation are conducted by utilizing a ship-maneuvering model known as the Mathematical Maneuvering Group (MMG). The results show that the POM model can generate a high-quality Kuroshio Current distribution that can be applied to conduct numerical simulations of ship navigation. Keywords: Kuroshio Current; POM; Numerical simulations; Ship navigation; Optimal route planningAbstract: AbstractBeidou is the regional satellite navigation system in China, consisting of three kinds of orbiting satellites, MEO, GEO and IGSO, with the orbital altitudes of 2150036000 km. For improving the accuracy of satellites orbit determination, calibrating microwave measuring techniques and providing better navigation service, all Beidou satellites are equipped with laser retro-reflector arrays (LRAs) to implement high precision laser ranging. The paper presents the design of LRAs for Beidou navigation satellites and the method of inclined installation of LRAs for GEO satellites to increase the effective reflective areas for the regional ground stations. By using the SLR system, the observations for Beidou satellites demonstrated a precision of centimeters. The performances of these LRAs on Beidou satellites are very excellent. Keywords: Beidou navigation satellites; Satellite laser ranging (SLR); Laser retro-reflector arrays (LRAs)Abstract: AbstractIn order to reduce the composite impacts of the systematic biases in the X-ray pulsar-based navigation system, an innovative navigation method is proposed. The proposed method employs the time-differenced measurement which is the difference between the measurements at the neighbor epochs. For Earth-orbiting satellite, the systematic biases vary slowly over the navigation period, and the time-differenced measurement can greatly reduce the major part of systematic biases. Through observability analysis, the corresponding navigation system is demonstrated to be completely observable. In order to solve the correlation between the process and measurement noises in the proposed method, a modified unscented Kalman filter is derived. In addition, the modified unscented Kalman filter propagates the selected sigma points to generate the time-differenced measurement model without involving linearization error. The results of simulations have shown that the proposed method can effectively reduce the composite impacts of systematic biases including the pulsar angular position error, pulsar distance error, Earth ephemeris error, and satellite-borne clock error. Keywords: X-ray pulsar-based navigation; Systematic biases; Autonomous navigation
