The focal and difficult points 1.To use the phrases of Part B correctly 2.Correctly listen ,write, and say the sentence patterns IV. Preparations before class 1.Teaching materials a.wall pictures of Part B b.a paper of the survey c.a tape recorder and the tape V. Steps and methods A. Free talk a. eg : Good morning! how are you? Nice to see you. (show some animal cards or some fruit.)Do you like apples/ pears/dogs? Yes, I do./ No, I dont. b. The students act out the dialogues. B. Presentations 1. Show the pictures and say the phrases: collect stamps, make clothes, take photos 2. .the teacher can show the pictures and ask: Whats he doing? Hes going shopping. And present other phrases: make model ships, keep goldfish, grow flowers, etc. 3. the Ss listen to the tape and read after the tape. 4. The teacher can practise the sentence patterns using the phrases. C. Practice 1. Guess the phrases by ones body languages 2. Make the dialogue with the sentence patterns and phrases or we can say other phrases, such as: play football/ draw pictures/ sing/ play the guitar 3. show the survey paper and do the survey eg. teacher can make the dialogue “Do you have any hobbies? Yes, I do. I like .”with Ss and then tell the Ss how to do the survey. Or Ss finish the survey after class. D.
