Unit 2If you tell him the truth now,you will show that you are honest.【教学目标】词汇come round,reason,try out,angry,no longer,whether,engineer,repair,truth,at least,honest,bill,after all句型1.He uses it for his work,and I can only use it for my homework.2The reason is that he thinks something will go wrong if I play games on it.3I am not sure whether a computer repair shop can get the documents back.4If you tell him the truth now,he will be angry with you,but at least you will show that you are honest.重点难点1.本单元词汇和重点句子。2if引导条件状语从句,主将从现。【教学思路】1就学生感兴趣的话题引入教学,使学生能快速地投入到课堂学习中。2利用多媒体和多种教学形式,引导学生积极参与课堂活动。3让学生运用所学的语言知识进行写作。【教学准备】黑板,录音机,卡片,多媒体等。【教学过程】Step 1 Warming up1师生问候。2复习上节课内容。(1)让学生拼读单词。(2)让学生表演会话。活动小结:由复习旧知识,同时导入新知识,做到自然衔接为下面学习作铺垫。Step 2 Presentation1学习新单词。2教师用卡片和课件形式呈现本节课的词汇:come round,reason,try out,angry,no longer,whether,engineer,repair,truth,least,at last,honest,bill。教师领读并且让学生了解其基本含义和词性。3将单元标题写在黑板上,让学生讨论标题的含义及构成。需要重点讲解的单词如下:(1)reason名词,“原因,理由”。(2)用幻灯片展示一张生气的图片,从而引出单词angry“愤怒的,生气的”。常用短语:be angry with sb生某人的气。(3)whether连词,“是否”,可与or not连用。相当于if,但是if不能与or not连用。(4)engineer可数名词,“工程师”。(5)用幻灯片展示正在修理自行车的图片,从而引出单词repair“修理,修补”。(6)由形容词true“真实的”,拓展出名词truth“事实,真相”。(7)形容词honest“诚实的,老实的”,注意h不发音。如:an honest boy一个诚实的男孩。(8)bill名词,“账单,账款”。4操练单词。(1)给学生几分钟时间记单词,然后教师把带有单词的卡片拿出来让学生依次拼读。(2)教师可以把学生分成几组进行单词拼读比赛。(3)让学生用单词进行造句。活动小结:教师以图片的形式导入新单词,以图记忆,通过图片的形式拼读,加深记忆。找几名学生比赛记单词、造句,巩固记忆。利用多种形式调动他们的学习热情。Step 3 Reading & Vocabulary1Listen to the tape of Activity 2,and then decide where they come from.AA report.BA magazine.CA story.DA play.教师总结这四种文体的不同。2Listen again and choose the best summary of Steves problem.让学生简述Steve遇到的问题,并且从文后a,b,c三个选项中选出正确的一项。3Listen to the tape again and read after the tape.4让学生逐句翻译课文,教师给予适当的解释。5Language points.学生逐句翻译文章,在学生翻译文章时,让学生找出文中的重点词汇和句型。教师把本单元的重点短语和句型写在黑板上,带领学生一起学习。(1)at least至少/起码(2)go wrong出毛病/出故障/出错(3)be angry with sb生某人的气(4)come round拜访(某人的家)(5)try out试用,试(6)no longer不再(7)The reason is that句型中含that引导的表语从句。(8)I am not sure whether句型中含whether引导的宾语从句,意为“是否”。活动小结:让学生去找文中的重点知识,发挥学生自主学习的能力。并通过习题的练习,来达到巩固知识的目的。Step 4 Practice & Consolidation1Complete the advice to Steve.(1)Ask students to find what problems Steve has.He used his dads computer to play games when he told Steve not to.Steve did not tell his father the truth.(2)Work in pairs,give some advice to Steve.A:What should Steve do when his father told him not to use his computer?B:He should never (3) Finish the four sentences in Activity 3.Ask four pairs to act out their conversations.2Complete the passage with the words in the box.活动小结:让学生再次回忆短文,让学生动脑筋给出建议,并锻炼了他们的口语表达能力。Step 5 Writing1Ask students to find sentences in Steves letter:(1)What did Steve do and when?(2)What happened next?(3)What is the problem?(4)What should Steve do?2Think of a problem,Write a short letter to Diana about the problem.Use the steps in Activity 5 to help you.3Work in pairs.Read each others problem letter.Suppose you are Diana and write a reply.Give your advice.活动小结:让学生造句,用自己的话复述短文,锻炼学生的语言运用能力。Step 6 Homework1Memorize the words,main phrases and sentences in this unit.2Write down your problems between you and your classmates.3完成所有练习。【板书设计】Unit 2If you tell him the truth now,you will show that you are honest.Phrases:come round,try out,be angry with sb,no longer,at last,after all,go wrongSentences:1The reason is that 2Im not sure whether 3If you tell him the truth,he will
