I think surfing the Internet is a bad way because you have to use a puter and always waste your time. 这个句型较长,是个复合句, 出现了由because引导的原因状语从句。进入初三后,我们在写作表达时,要避免使用没有主句的because从句,而要写完整的句子。另外,在这句话中,我们看到了以动名词studying English为主语的句子。如:不能写Because I slept late. 这样句意不完整,不清晰。要写成 I missed the early bus because I slept late.这样有原因,有结果的句子才是完整的句子。3. 找出自己在英语学习中的困难 (Find out your own difficulties in learning English) 要选择适合自己的学习方法,还必须清楚自己的困难所在,然后才能有的放矢。我们如何表达自己学习上遇到的困难呢?如何给出建议呢?请诵读下面的句型: I have a problem. Please try to talk with your friends in English as much as possible.4.确定自己的学习方法(Decide your suitable learning ways) 通过以上各个环节的学习,我们终于可以完成最后的目标选择适合自己的方法。如何表达呢?目标句型如下:(注意要给出原因,练习使用because)I think I can study English by becausee.g. I think I can study English by listening to English songs because I love music too.I dont think I can get an English tutor because I want to learn by myself at home.II. by 的用法介词,表示通过方法或途径的意思,译成“靠,通过”,后面可加名词或名词短语。e.g. 1) The house was destroyed by fire. 房屋被火烧毁了。2) travel by air /land/sea. 航空(陆路,航海)旅行3) go by train /boat/ bus 乘火车(船,公共汽车)去4) shake sb. by the hand 和某人握手5) I study English by watching English movies. 我通过看英文电影学英语。 另外,by作为介词的意义有很多,我们也已经学过一些用法,总结如下: 1) 在旁边,靠近 e.g. There is a power station by the river. 河边有一个电厂。2) 沿着,经由 e.g. e by the highway 由公路来3) 由于 e.g. by mistake 由于差错4) 被,由 e.g. some articles written by Lu Xun 一些由鲁迅写的文章5) 表示面积 e.g. a room 5m by 4m 一间长五米宽四米的房间6) 逐批 e.g. one by one 一个接一个III. “How” questions How引导特殊疑问句有两种含义1) 表示问候e.g. How do you do? How are you? How is everything going?2) 表示“怎样”e.g. How is your new house? Its great.你的新房子怎么样?它太棒了。 How do you learn English? 你是怎样学习英语的? I learn English by reading lots of English magazines.我通过读大量英文杂志学习英文。请同学们注意how 和what引导的疑问句是不一样的,不能混淆。 how 通常对程度或方式进行提问,意为“怎么样”,回答通常做状语或表语。what常对动作的发出者或接受者进行提问,意为“什么”,回答通常做主语或宾语。比较:1. How is your summer holiday? It is perfect. (表示程度,做表语) 2. How did you travel around the world? I traveled by bike. ( 表方式,做状语) 3. What do you learn at school? I learn Chinese, English and other subjects. (做宾语)IV. 疑难解释1. ask sb. about sth. 问某人某件事情 about后面加名词或动名词 e.g. Ask students about the best way of learning. 问学生们最好的学习方法。ask sb. to do sth. 要求某人做某事,请某人做某事,to后面加动词原形 e.g. He asked his mother to buy him a new bicycle.他请求母亲给他买一辆新自行车。 2. Many said they learnt by using English. 许多学生说他们通过使用英语来学习英语。many 在这里是代词,而不是形容词,意为many students e.g. We can put away many of these plates. We dont need this many.我们可以把许多盘子收起来,用不着这么多。3. frustrating a. 令人灰心的,令人沮丧的。(修饰物,事件) e.g. Watching movies to learn English is frustrating because the people speak too quickly. 通过看电影来学英语是让人灰心的,因为剧中人物说话太快了。 frustrated a.灰心的,沮丧的 (修饰人) e.g. I felt frustrated at that time. 那时我觉得很沮丧。 类似的还有:interesting令人感兴趣的 interested 感兴趣的 disappointing令人失望的 disappointed 失望的 boring 无聊的 bored 感到无聊的 exciting令人兴奋的 excited 兴奋的4. get excited 变得兴奋起来 get是系动词,get+ adj. 有“逐渐变得”的含义 e.g. get mad 生气 get clear 变得清晰了 The long journey got the children all tired. 长途旅行使得孩子们疲惫不堪。5. end up doing sth. 终止做某事,结束做某事,后面加动名词短语,相当于 finish doing sth. 表示结束做某事,事情已完成 e.g. When we practice speaking English, we often end up speaking in Chinese. 但,要注意与stop doing sth. 的区别stop doing sth.指停止做某事,有可能是暂时的,不久还会继续下去。e.g. We had to stop singing because somebody knocked at the door. 另外,end up with 以而告终,后面加名词或动名词e.g. The party ended up with her singing. 晚会以她的歌唱而告终。6. 在本单元中,出现了大量的动名词。我们有必要了解动名词的结构和用法。 动名词即动词的-ing形式,相当于名词。在句子中可做主语,宾语,表语等。 e.g. 1) I think that doing lots of listening practice is one of the secrets of learning.doing lots of listening practice 为动名词短语,做从句中的主语。listening做定语,修饰 practice2) I am enjoying learning English. 动名词短语做宾语。3) Seeing is believing. 眼见为实。(seeing做主语,believing做表语)7. 在文章中出现了许多表示顺序或承接的连词或词组。这些词使全文流畅生动,条理清晰他使用连接词会使其增色,提高档次。 如:first of all 首先 to begin with 一开始 later on 后来,随后 also 也,而且(用于肯定句) either 也(用于否定句) so因此 then 然后语法知识现在完成时: 概念:过去发生或已经完成的动作对现在造成的影响或结果, 或从过去已经开始,持续到现在的动作或状态。 时间状语:recently, lately, sincefor,in the past few years, etc. 基本结构:have/has + done 否定形式:have/has + not + done. 一般疑问句:Have或Has
