Glad to meet you here and Im glad to teach you the interesting topic. First of all, please allow me to introduce this unit is about global warming. Something that might be regarded as some form of disease. It is helpful to promote students awareness of human health that depends to a large extent on the health of nature. Now read the text and answer some questions. T: The play is set in Beijing, where an international conference on climate change is being held, true or not?S1: False.T: Scientist Number One is optimistic, and Scientist Number Two is pessimistic, about global warming, true or not?S2: False.T: Scientist Number Two believes that we have misread and misinterpreted changes in temperature, true or not?S3: True.T: Carbon dioxide es from factories, true or not?S4: True.T: The play tells us that we are safe, that trees are continuing to grow, and that the earth will last millions of years, true or not?S5: False.Step 2 ExpectionThis text is about global warming. Now, try and identify each picture and how it might relate to global warming. Try to guess for each picture. Write the following ideas on the board. Divide the class into groups of six. Ask each group to:1. Provide a definition for each concept.2. Provide examples for each concept.3. Provide an explanation as to how they think these 6 concepts are related to global warming.Climate change. Ask each group to choose a character in the play: TV Announcer, Scientist Number One, Scientist Number Two Smokestack Industries, an automobile, a tree and the earth. Discuss the meaning of cause and effect.
