How much time do you spend watching TV every day ? What kind of lifestyles do you think the me in the pictures have ?Step 4 . Fast reading Let the students read the two texts quickly and : 1. Underline the TV programs that Brain usually watches .2. Underline the kinds of work Bob does every day .Step 5 . Careful reading 1. Let the students read the two texts again and answer these questions . Is Brain a lazy person ? Can you find two examples of his lazy behavior ? What do you think “Youve got the world at your feet ” means ? How does Bob spend his morning and evening ? Why does Bobs family plain ? Why does Bob work so hard ? Ask the students to answer the questions one by one , then check the answers with the whole class .2. Discussion Let the students discuss the questions with their partners for a few minutes and the teacher may join in their discussion and help them . Are Brain and Bobs lifestyles healthy ? What can they do to improve their lifestyles ?Step 7 . Homework 1. Review the words and phrases we learned in this period and then retell the text .2. Preview the part of Vocabulary : Phrasal verbs .
