111Unit 1 Festivals around the worldPeriod 2 Reading1.教材分析(analysis of teaching material)Reading is a key part of the unit. The reading passage titled FESTIVALS AROUND THE WORLD briefly describes the earliest kinds of festivals with the reasons for them, and then four different kinds of festivals that occur in most parts of the world.2.学情分析(analysis of the students)After warming up, Ss may have a general impression of the festivals.
