七年级英语教案设计Unit 8 What does he look like ? Period 3 第三课时教材分析:本课时的核心话题是谈论人的外貌形象,教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特征展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点。通过对本课时的学习,学生能掌握描述人物外表的词汇及句型,以人的外貌特征为主线,兼顾交际功能的学习,引导学生谈论自己或他人的外表长相。本课时的教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流。在学习活动中,学生能通过交换对不同人物的描述及看法,促进学生之间和教师之间的情感交流,增进情谊。教学目标:1知识与技能通过对本课时的学习,学生能掌握描述人物外表的形容词、短语及句型。能熟练地用英语进行对人外表特点的描述,并根据描述画出人像。能替自己和别人进行新形象设计,能和合作伙伴互相交流信息。并能结合实际生活,灵活运用所学词汇及句型,提高写作水平。2情感态度与价值观通过学习课文及课堂操练增进同学之间的了解和友谊,启发学生不要以貌取人。学会赞美别人,友好地描述别人的形象;学会赏识,懂得心灵美比外表美更重要。3语言目标:学会描述有关身体部位和身体特征的词汇。4能力目标:(1)能概括人物的外貌特征并区别人物和推理出某一人物。(2)继续提高听说能力。5情感目标:启发学生不要以貌取人,培养正确的审美观。6学习策略:培养学习通过对人物特征的描述,提高直接用英语理解、表达和思维的能力、交际能力及语言的综合运用能力。7文化意识:了解生活中怎样去描述人物外貌特征的常识,灌输在生活中处处留心观察的意识。教学内容:1单词:beard, glasses, look, remember, pop, singer, notany more, say,nobody.2句型:复习本单元已学过的句型:-What do you look like? -I m short. Im thin. -What does heshe look like? -HeShe is tall and has long hair. -What do they look like? -Theyre of medium height.重难点、关键:教学重点:(1) 掌握本课新单词并熟练掌握描述人物外貌的方法,并能灵活运用于生活中。(2) 要求学生掌握“询问一个人的长相是怎么样的”表达方式,以及回答。-What do you look like? -Im short. Im thin.-What does he/she look like?-He/She is tall and has long hair.-What do they look like?-They are of medium height.教学难点:(1) 回答What do you look like?/What does he look like?时,可以有两种回答方式,一种为Im /Hes注意:be动词后跟着形容词/表示身高(medium height);另一种为I have/He has注意:后跟着(形容词)+名词例如:你长得怎么样?我长的很瘦,我是中等身材。 What do you look like?Im thin.Im medium height.她长得什么样?她有一头短短的黑发。What does she look like?She has short black hair.(2) 熟练掌握描述人物外貌的方法并画图。教学关键:如何运用所学的有关词汇、短语及句型,描述人的外貌特征,并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用。教具、学具准备:幻灯片、录音机、挂图、卡通人物、白纸等。教学手段、方法及过程:采用启发式教学,循循善诱、循序渐进的教学方法,让学生通过本课时的看图说话、句型操练、实际描述、对话表演,熟悉掌握本单元核心话题的句型。 教学步骤:Step 1. Revision and Leading-in(Section B 1a) (3 minutes)1.Show students some pictures to review those words in Section A 1a.Then teach the new words in Section B 1a.2.Then match each word with one of the pictures and check the answers.Step 2. Presentation(1b) (8 minutes)1.Point at the incomplete sentences and read the completed sample sentence to the class.2.Have students write the name of a famous person in each blank. e.g. Han Hong wears glasses. Then ask some students to read the sentences they completed. And have other students say whether the sentences are right or wrong.Step 3.Listening Practice(2a,2b) (6 minutes) You will hear Maria and Danny talking about Tina Brown and Johnny Dean.(Play the tape)1. Your job is to write the job each person does.Point to the heading “Job”on the chart. Thencheck the answers.2. This time your job is to write what each person looks like. Point to the heading “looks like”. And correct the answers.Step 4.Oral Practice(2c) (8 minutes)1. Name a famous actor, musician or athlete and describe that person.(出示挂图及卡通人物)2. Ask students to describe a famous person to the group. Ask others in the group to add information to each description.(放映幻灯片)Step 5.Reading and Writing Practice (3a-3c) (10 minutes)1. Read the magazine article to the class. And find the difference between the two pictures of Johnny Dean.2. Point to the blanks in the chart. Describe Johnny before and now. Point out the simple answer.3. Point out the numbered blanks in the pragraph. Then write words describing Glorias apppearance in each blank. Ask students to finish the activity on their own. Then check the answers.4. Ask students to write about their favorite actors or musiclans and move around the room answering questions and offering language support.(放映幻灯片,显示一位明星“姚明”,叫学生描述)Step 6.Listening and Speaking Practice(4 Game) (8 minutes).1. Read the instructions to students.2. Have students get into groups of four. Ask each student to draw a picture without letting anyone else see it. He wears glasses. 今天我们学习了这些单词和句子。我们知道除了前两天学的从发型长短和直发或卷发外,我们还可以描述人物的头发颜色如:blonde, brown. 还有除了发型,体形,身高,衣着和爱好以外我们还可以从人物胡子和是否戴眼镜等方面进行描述。Now lets read them together.,我们一起来读一遍。学生听老师讲述并在笔记本上做记录,齐读板书内容。10. 布置作业,课结束T: Homework for today:(1)做一张你最喜欢的名人的宣传海报,要求用今天所学的单词和句型进行描述,最好能配上照片或图片。(2)请从报刊杂志或电视上查找和收集2005感动中国十大人物的资料,包括姓名,事迹,图片等等(4)请带一张你家人的照片(可以是一个人的,也可以是全家福)Class is over.
