Long ago, many British people were forced to leave their country and go to some other places. 很久以前,许多英国人被迫离开他们的国家去了一些其他的地方。【解析】(1)force v.译为“强迫,迫使”,其常用短语有:be forced to do sth. 译为: 【拓展】强迫某人做某事_=force sb. into doing sth【辨析】 force 和make 都表示“迫使”,但有区别。force含有较强的暴力威胁之意,而make则表示一般意义上的“使得,让”。Eg: Who forced him to move out of the room? 谁强迫他帮出那个房间的? They made me repeat the story. 他们让我复述那故事。4.2.
