Get them to answer the question one by oneThen ask them to listen and number the words they hear After they finish 1a,make sure they read the words correctlyAnd ask students to write the words down in small lettersStep 2:Pairwork Do the contents list on the bookThen play a guess gameThe teacher should get ready a soft bag,and some objects such as a ruler,a pen,a key,an orange and so onFirst show all the things to students,then hide all of them in the teachers desk,put one into the bag,try not to let students see itAt last get students to guess whats in your bagThe teacher can ask the student: T:Whats this in English? A:Is it a book? T:N0,it isnt A:Is it a pen? T:Yes,it is If the student Succeedcongratulate to him or herThen do the same to another one. This game can also be played in small groups if you have enough materials.Step 3:Listen and read Have the students listen to the tape and repeat Get the students to listen to the tape and repeat,ask them to try to find what is the connection between the wordsStep 4:Homework Finish off the workbook pe and write the time that Dave has to follow the rules. Please listen carefully for the first time. Then listen to the tape again and write down the answers.Play the recording twice. Let students write the time that Dave have to follow the rules in the chart in 1b. you may wish to play the tape more than once at this point.Step 5 1dT: There are so many rules in Daves house. Have students read the letters and underline the rules for Molly. Then ask students to write the rules in the exercise book and talk about them. As they work, move around the classroom monitoring progress and offer help as necessary. At last, check the answers. 2. Finish 2c.T: After you finish writing and talking, please complete the sentences.Read the letters and the notes that the students have written and complete the sentences with have to, must, can, cant.Step 8 Summary In this class, we have learnt how to complain rules and how to deal with it. Step 9 Homework1. Let students work in pairs, talking about their house rules on weekdays and weekends.2. Let students to make a report about their friends rules.Game: find out the lettersTeacher shows the letters very quickly get the students to call out the letters they see. Using the letter pictures to teach new words: map, key, pen, ruler, quilt, jacket and orange. Show the picture which match the word and ask: Whats this in English?Ss answer: “ Its a / an ” Spell it, please. -Students work in groups, draw pictures of their rooms and talk about the pictures using “Whats this in English? Its a/an”Teacher is ready to offer his / her help to those students who are in need of it.。
