Floppy disk (with three files - v54p0fa.exe ,54P0FAo01.DES and STANDARD.MEM ) which is provided by SE_TS1;c. PC using your own notebook PC or using any desk PC with CD_ROM.2).Install configuration toolsa. Insert cd(Motorola Vanguard 6435/6455 IP 5.4P01A) into cd-rom;b. Execute file E:installvgsetup;c. Select directory c:motorola;d. Select “NEXT” until installation finished. 3).Install upgrade filea. Insert floppy disk to Drive A;b. execute file a:v54p0fa.exe;c. Select cd-rom drive E: ;d. Select install directory c:motorola;e. Select “NEXT” until installation finished;f.Copy a:54P0Fao01.des to c:motorolasfw_imgsv6400.4).Upgrade PAD FWa.Execute file c:motorolasfw_imgsv640054P0FAo01.des,Vanguard Software Builder window will occurred;b.After input the corret licenses number(CD licenses) ,fill the options:Release : 5.4.p0fa;Product : Vanguard 6400;Memory Size: 32M Bytes;Flash Size: 4M Bytes;Image Name : BISC;Option Number: 01;Software Licenses Available: IP.c.Click “Create Option” button, and wait a few minutes;d.When “Do you want to load” window occur, selected Yes;e.Vanguard Software Loader window will occur, fill options:Drive: C: ;Product: V6400 ;Release: r54pp0fa;Image Name: 54P0Fao01.zip;Comm Port: COM1 or COM2;Speed: 115200.( you can change the speed by Win NT Control panel/ports )f.Connect the PC COM to PAD port4 with Cable 5, then click the “LOAD”Button. So the 540fa APS will load to the PAD. After click the ButtonOf “OK”, the upgrade working finished.3.Configure PAD database automaticallyIf PADs configuration is standard, you can upload the standard database from file A:STANDARD.MEM. Else you must configure the PADs database by hand. a. Copy a:STANDARD.MEM c:MOTOROLACONFIGS/V6400Uploadb. Execute file c:motorolavanguidecmem32.exe;c. Vanguard Configuration Loader window will occur, fill options:Drive: C: ;Product: V6400;Application: upload;d. Select STANDARD.MEM as the configuration file and click “LOAD” Button,PAD database will be configure automatically.4. Setting PAD Parameter Values By Hand1). PAD motorola 6435Port1 -for X.25 link connection to EWSD IOPSCDP.-DIM V.24 or DIM X.21,V.35 also can be used -port 1,2 physical address must be set to DCE location when PAD directly connecte to IOPSCDP, when via modem it must be set to DTE. -If only one X.25 link used the other port can be used for connection terminal VT100 or OMT, then the DIM must be set to DCE location. Port3-5only port4 used to connect PC for modify PAD parameter .
