Part(Section 1-3):the connection between the West Wind and the earth,the air and the water Part(Section 4-5):the poet expresses his own state of mind and explores the relationship between the West Wind and himself.10In this poem,the wind is more than simply a current of air.In Greek&Latin languages,the words for“wind”,“inspiration”,“soul”,and“spirit”are all related.So,Shelleys“West Wind”seems to symbolize an inspiring spiritual power that moves everywhere,and affects everything.11 In this poem,Shelley tries to gain transcendence(超然存在，超越).The West Wind acts as a driving force change and rejuvenation(再生)in the human and natural world.Shelly views the winter not just as last phase(时期，阶段)of vegetation(植物)but as the last phase of life in the individual,the imagination,civilization and religion.Poem Summery12Rhyme The rhyme scheme-“aba bcb cdc ded ff”Iambic pentameter(五步抑扬格)13 Shelley observes the changing of the weather and its influence on the internal and external
