Definition and importance of quality control:l Quality control is a series of activities that ensure and improve the quality of the products and service. 质量管理，品质控制l Without quality control, the number of defective products that must be reworked, scrapped or returned would dramatically increase. Almost all consulting/service organizations monitor the quality of the services they deliver to uphold their reputations, ensure satisfied customers and generate repeat business. 2. What does quality control include?l Quality control includes Monitoring quality (监督质量）and Improving quality（提高质量）. l Monitoring quality is the base of improving quality and we can do little in improving quality if we dont pay enough attention on the basic one.3. Monitoring qualityl PDCA circle P-plan 计划 Make a careful plan before starting. D-do 实施 Carry out the plan. C-check 检查 Check and find out the cause if there is something wrong. A-action 处理 Adjust the plan to make the products and service qualified.Plan、do、check and action is running a positive circulation. Plan、do、check、action, then plan、do. Action is the most important. The three previous parts are in vain if you neglect “Action”. l Random sample testinga. Shorten the time from collecting samples to testing in order to decrease the influence on the result.b. The more samples have been tested, the less error there is; but the more samples have been tested, the higher the cost will be. The quantity of samples should not be less than 3.c. Random sample testing has its weakness. Due to its randomicity, it is not 100safe. Investigation The purpose of improving quality is to satisfy the customers demands, so manufactures should take the demands as the starting point of improving quality. The common way to know what customers want is to do an investigation. a. Make an Investigation questionnaire. b. Pick up some people of different ages to answer the questions. c. Change the answers into statistics. d. Chart base on the statistics. e. Improve the products according to the chart to satisfy the customers.2. Have the courage to innovate a.
