Conclusion.14References.15摘要:随着改革开放的不断深入和国际交往的日益增多,学习英语已受到全社会的普遍关注。政府采取一些措施促进民众学习英语。由于我国和国际交往越来越密切,因此对于英语教学改革的要求也越来越迫切。如何全面提高学生的英语素质,突破长期以来所形成的“哑巴英语”局面,是摆在广大中小学英语教师面前的一个重要课题。所以,现在已经到了对中学英语教学进行根本改革的时候。简单地说,就是根据语言学习的规律,既强调对学生听和说的训练,又重视对学生语言综合能力的全面培养,把现在中学英语的教材体系更加丰富、完善。关键词:中学英语;英语教学;教学改革;英语教学改革;中学英语教学改革Abstract: With the unceasing development of the reform and open policy and the international contact increasing day by day, studying English has been attached importance universally. The government takes some measures to promote the people to study English. Because the contact between our country and the international is closer, the request to improve English teaching reform is also more and more urgent. How to improve students English quality comprehensively, breakthrough the form of the mute English in China, it is an important topic in front of all English teachers in the middle school. We believe that, it is the time we had to carry on the radical reform to the middle school English teaching. Briefly, according to the language study rules, we should emphasize to train students listening and speaking abilities, and foster their ability of using language synthetically, to enrich and perfect the present middle school English teaching material system.Key words: middle school English; English teaching; teaching reform; English teaching reform; English teaching reform in middle school I. IntroductionEnglish teaching reform in middle school is a problem to English teachers and researchers who are researching English teaching in middle school. Nowadays, the initiative of students learning English is unprecedented high: students like learning English as a pleasure. So as the English teaching workers, we must do some researches on English teaching reform to make people know the importance and the trend of English teaching reform. 1.1 The Importance of English Teaching Reform in the Middle School 1.1.1 English Teaching Reform is the Need of Social DevelopmentIn order to promote the level of moderation, and comprehensive national power of our country, and narrow down the distance between developed country, China government has put forward the strategy of prospering country by scientific and educational development. On one hand, we must depend on the great efforts of people of whole country; on the other hand we should persist in the reform and open policy, and the communication with other countries. Besides, we should learn the advanced experiences of the other countries. During the process of communication and learn, we must use the language. However, the people of the most developed country are speaking English now, so English becomes the most extensively used language now. Especially after the Chinese economy links with national economy, and her own modernization, there is a large change on demand of the talented persons. In future we will need not only the single special people of ability, but also the stereoscopic people of ability, who have the comprehensives abilities. The change of this kind of need will force us to reform the English teaching in China.1.1.2 English Teaching Reform is the Demand of Quality Education In the 21th century, China will overall push on the quality education. The Central Committee of Communist Party of China, the State Council “Resolution on deepen Teaching Reform, overall push on the quality education ”, said that: Put into effect quality education, just as overall implement Partys educational policy, to improve national education quality as basic aim. According to the demand of quality education English teaching reform must be carried out now.1.1.3 English Teaching Reform is the Demand of Syllabus in Middle SchoolIf we want to reach the teaching aim, the English teaching reform must be carried on thoroughly.1.2 Content of English Teaching Reform Contents of English Teaching Reform are very wide, but sum up them; we should reform some important parts below:1.2.1 The Aim and Demand of Teaching ReformRevised the syllabus in force, we cannot pay attention to needs analysis. Aim and requirement are not consummate. Describe teaching aims and requirements. The requirement of vocabulary is too low.1.2.2 Change the View of Teaching All of actions of people are guided by theories. Without advanced ideology, the advanced teaching practice is impossible .If the teaching view obstructs the development of teaching, teaching methods are impossible .So the change of teaching view seems more and more important.1.2.3 Reform and Consummation of the Textbooks in ForceThere are lots of advantages in the present textbooks, which have been already accepted by the mass of teachers and students in middle school. But there are also some problems in it.1.2.4 Reform of Teaching Methods Though every teacher has the different teaching methods, they should abide by the basic regulation of English teaching .So the aim of the teaching method reform is to change the out-of-date methods, and those which are not suited to new requirement of textbooks.1.2.5 Reform of Teaching MediumWe must Project on foster communicative ability. Because of the big amount of the knowledge in books, the limit classes, school can not use the teaching methods that used before, in the past, English teachers were armed only a textbook a piece of chalk and a blackboard. If we using the teaching methods that used before can not complete the task, let alone to attain the teaching aims, so every must try to improve the in teaching methods. The aim of English teaching reform just to use all the methods of that possible to supply students modernize seeing and hearing equipment and teaching supplementary instrument larger the capacity of class, improve effect of classroom teaching.1.2.6 Reform Present Situation of Persons Qualified to TeachPresent level of middle school English persons qualified to teach are not balanced allover our country. In the more poor places, the persons qualified to teach are lacking.II. Literature review2.1. The Present Situation of English Teaching in Middle School in Our CountryThe past 20 years is the time that middle school English teaching in our country develops with steady steps, and has made the very big progress in following various aspects:a. The government has formulated a series of foreign language education policies in English teaching. Such as the proportion of English learning in the general education and the higher education, and learning the advanced experience from the other countries, and so on;b. We have formulated the national unification program of instruction in English teaching arranging the teaching material in the nation as the foundation, recent years promoting the cooperation between China and Britain, and published the massive teaching reference book, the supplementary reading materials and the audio-visual materials and so on; c. Each kind of pedagogical colleges and universities foreign language specialized has trained large quantities of quality high teachers for the middle school, they respect hillock loving industry mostly, to make the contribution for raised our country middle school foreign language teaching level; d. There exists a good atmosphere to study English in the whole social in China; e. The enthusiasm of the general middle-school students study English is very high, their goal is clear; the study method obtains the unceasing improvement. There are lots of teaching methods that we can learn from western countries to improve our teaching quality. Such as we can pay more attention to students and take them as basic, let them do more discuss to discover the problems, in the west the interaction model is variety in level and direction, but in our country it is single, it is not beneficial for teaching. In the east students role always attend lesson passive and mechanical, in the west students can join on their own initiative, study on their own master and study by cooperate. And the teachers role in east is the person who imparted of knowledge, and in the west the teacher is not only the person who imparted of knowledge, and also the organizer of classroom and leader of study. The teaching requirements are also have differences, in the east they are unified standard and test, in the west they are towards whole student and respect differences. Why there are so many differences, because first of all it is the regional disparity, the background between east and west is different, and the teaching concept is different from babyhood, the teaching in the west is more democratically. There are lots of teaching concept we to study from west. Such as we can take students as center, and the interaction model, and we also should change our role, we are not only the person who imparted of knowledge, and also the organizer of classroom and leader of study. From these differences, and the specific characteristics to bring about to adjust and reform.III. Feasibility analysis 3.1 The Main Direction of English Teaching ReformInquiring into English Teaching aims and requirements, we can find that it is suitable for the current condition of our country, because the aims and requirements are according to the social needs and the assignments of teaching in middle school, and directly concerned with English Teaching specific assignment compile the textbooks, teaching content, teaching arrangement and standard of assess. Therefore after the position of English teaching is determined in Middle School education, it will be the first problem to be resolved, how to determine aims according to the condition of our country .The English teaching aims have changed from “Emphasize to foster students ability of reading listening, speaking, writing and translating, and independent study in English, and lay a foundation for further study and apply to English.” to “To carry on basic training of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and foster students the preliminary, ability of applying to English in oral and written ,especially the ability on reading, to lay a foundation for further study and application of English .” Then the government goes on proceeding to 9 year compulsory education English teaching: “Through listening, speaking, reading, writing training, students obtain achieve basic language knowledge and preliminary ability of application of English for communication in their lives, furthermore, foster their ideology, patriotism and socialism and so on, and develop students ability to think and study independently.”IV. Problems and solutions4.1 The Problems and Wrong Ideas of English Teaching in Our CountryAchievement of English attention is past tens years especially the achievement in the compile of outline compile of teaching material test and is other field obvious to all. But it is very lack in research of theory that English teaching in our country quality of persons qualified to teach is low, lack in blazing new trails in teaching form and method classroom instructor is seriously inclined to take exam these are all grave condition heighten whole quality and efficiency of English teaching in our country. Some of the masses of the people up society and English learners even some of English teachers have lots of mistaken or understanding. However just these mistaken on understanding were influenced right direction of our English Teaching action and the course of English Reform to a great extent.4.1.1 The Problem that Exist in English Teaching Action and the Country.a. It is lack in research of theory in English teaching of our country.b. It is limited in standard of persons qualified c. Its obviously inclined to take examd. It is lack in blazing new trails in teaching form and methods.e. The studies attitudes of students are not positive, study method are not suitable for them.f.
