(相关的)两个人,一对,一双,一副a pair of socks a pair of gloves two pairs of trousers一双袜子 一副手套 两条裤子 e.g.A pair of teenage boys are watching a football game.两个青少年正在看足球赛。 2. correct(1)v. 改正,纠正 e.g.The teacher returned to her room to correct exercise books.老师回到房间去改练习本。 (2)adj. 正确的;恰当的 e.g. Do you have the correct time? 你的表走得准吗? 3. advice(1)n.意思是“意见,建议”,为不可数名词,可用some,much,a piece of,pieces of等修饰,不能说an advice或many/a few advices。 (2)表示“有关的建议”时,用介词on,接名词、代词或由疑问词引导的不定式。 e.g.Lets ask for his advice on what to do next. 我们去征求一下他的意见下一步该怎么办。 常见搭配:take/follow ones advice 接受某人的建议 ask for advice 征求意见 accept/refuse ones advice 接受(拒绝)某人的建议 offer advice to sb. 向某人提供建议 拓展: advise vt建议 常见搭配:advise sb. to do sth. e.g.My teacher advises me to leave now.老师建议我现在就离开。 advise that sb. (should) do sth.e.g.We advise measures(should)be taken to stop pollution at once. 我们建议立即采取措施以阻止污染。 4. write down 写下,记下Id like to write down what the teacher said.我想把老师说的记下来。要注意这里的down是副词,代词要放在中间。write it down要记住以down为中心的一些短语:turn down 关小,把(音量)调低 sit down 坐下lie down 躺下 fall down 跌倒go down 下沉,沿着走 slow down 放慢速度look down upon 轻视,看不起 walk down 沿着走5We should always speak English in class. 我们应该总是在课堂上说英语。 should是情态动词,意思是“应该”。通常用来表示现在或将来的责任或义务。 should/shouldnt do sth.e.g.He should work harder. 他应该更加努力。 You should help your mother with the housework. 你们应该帮妈妈做家务。 6Lets try to speak English as much as possible.让我们一起尽可能地说英语。 (1)try to do sth 努力做某事 They are trying to study English well.(2)try doing sth 试着做某事 I am trying doing it in this way. (3)try/ do ones best to do sth 尽某人的全力做某事 We should try/do our best to help the people in trouble. (4)as much as possible“尽量”、“尽最大努力(可能)”,主要用于 as.as possible/one can。 e.g.You should rest as much as possible. 你应当尽量多休息。 7.Why not write down the mistakes in our notebooks? 为什么不把这些错误写在我们的笔记本上呢?Why dont you do sth? 相当于Why not do sth?”是典型的表示建议的句型表达建议的句式主要有以下几种:Shall we / I ? Shall we go boating? Why not / Why dont you? Why not ask your teacher the questions?What/How about? What about having some cakes? Lets. Lets look at the books. Would you like sth/to do sth? Would you like to go fishing? 8. Thats a good idea. And dont forget to write down the correct answers next to the mistakes.那是一个好主意。并且不要忘记把正确的答案写在错误的旁边。forget v. 忘记 (forgot, forgotten) forget to do sth.忘记做某事 (表示事情还没有做) Dont forget to do your homework.forget doing sth. 忘了做过某事(表示事情已经做了) I forget finishing my homework. 9. What else? 还有别的什么吗?other, else都有“别的;其他的”之意。它们的区别是:other修饰名词,位于名词之前。Whats that in your other hand? 你的另一只手里拿着什么?else修饰不定代词,疑问代词或疑问副词,必须位于这些词之后。Where else did you go? 你还去了别的什么地方?10. I agree with you. 我赞成你。 agree v. 赞同 agree的常见搭配: agree with sb. 同意某人agree to sth. 同意、赞同(plan / suggestion / proposal / arrangement / terms.)agree to do sth. 同意做某事agree on / upon sth. 对某一问题意见一致agree 接that从句 同意11. ask for 请求He asked his father for ten yuan他向他父亲要了10元钱。1)可以是ask for sth.要求得到某物,如:ask for advice;ask for money2)可以是ask sb.for sth.向某人要某物,如:ask her parents for a bike 12Each time you will learn something new. I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends.每次你将会学习一些新东西。我也建议你和朋友们谈论电影或歌曲。time的用法: (1)time侧重指“时间”,或说明“时间”的量,time用作不可数名词,前面可much, little, a lot of, plenty of等修饰。 e.g.This saves time and allows farmers to grow an extra crop in each season. 这节省了时间,使农民能够在每个季节中多种点庄稼。 (2)当作“次数;倍数”讲时,time是可数名词。 e.g.I have been to Beijing three times. 我去过北京三次。 (3)time构成的短语: at a time 一次, 每一次 at one time 曾经,一度 at times /from time to time有时,偶尔 all the time 总是,一直 in time 及时,迟早 on time 准时 (4)time构成的句型: Its time for sb. to do sth./Its (high) time sb. did sth. 该是某人干的时间了。 e.g.Its time for children to go to bed. 是小孩睡觉的时候了。 Its high time that we started. 我们该出发了。 each time(每次),next time(下次),the first/last time(第一次/最后一次的时候)等词组引导的时间状语从句。 e.g.The last time I went to China, I visited Shanghai.13. Remember this: Do not be shy. Just try. 记住这个:不要害羞,只是尝试。 辨析:remember to do sth. 记着做某事 remember doing sth. 记得做过某事 Eg. Remember to close the door, please. 请记得关上门。 I remembered closing the door. 我记得关上门了。14. I am shy and I am afraid to speak to her. 我害羞并且不敢和她说话。 be afraid to do sth.害怕做某事;不敢做某事 Eg.
