英语课程标准一、课程说明课程名称英语开课分院(系部)公共课教学部适用专业各专业课程代码学 时先修课程后续课程编制人审定人制(修)定日期 年 月 日制定/第 次修定二、课程性质与任务英语课程是高职高专非英语专业学生必修的人文素养课程之一。该课程以职场交际为目标, 以应用为目的,培养学生实际应用英语的能力,特别是听说能力,使学生能在日常活动和与未来职业相关的业务活动中进行一般的口头和书面交流;同时掌握有效的学习方法,增强自主学习能力,提高人文素养;为提升就业竞争力及今后的可持续发展打下良好的基础。英语课程是学生高中或职业中学英语课程的延续,是后续专业课程的基础和工具,在各专业人才培养体系中,起着承上启下的重要作用,是我院实施人文素质教育的重要组成部分。三、课程设计思路在课程设计上,按照职业发展的轨迹、应用能力优先培养,高职英语课程教学从教学层面上,结合我院英语教学的实际,基础英语教学内容与行业英语教学内容有机结合,并将行业英语教学渗透到整个高职英语教学的全过程,并成为提高学生英语应用能力的语言载体。使学生能够更容易的实现学习与工作的对接,学生能够在真实工作中,听得清、说得明、看得懂、写得出,大大提高自身的就业竞争力。四、课程教学目标(一)素质目标培养学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,使他们在今后学习、工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行交际,同时增强其自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养,以适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要。使所培养的学生适应地区和我国经济发展以及国际交流的需要,成为即会做事又会做人的有用之才。(二)知识目标为了保证学生毕业后能够胜任有关工作岗位对英语的需求,外语教研室依据各专业人才培养方案对岗位能力的要求,基于工作任务,选择典型项目作为教学内容,以保证学生英语听说能力的培养。在课程开发过程中,应积极与行业企业及专业所在分院共同合作,开发满足本行业企业岗位(群)需求的英语教学内容与资源。(三)能力目标突出和实现英语的“高等职业教育”的特色,使本课程的教学过程能够将“跨文化交际” +“语言应用技能”+“职业综合能力”的有机有效的统一和融合,使高职英语的教育质量与时俱进,更加符合职业教育的规律,适应我国和世界高等职业教育发展的新形势,使所培养的学生适应地区和我国经济发展以及国际交流的需要,成为即会做事又会做人的有用之才。五、课程内容与要求课本共4册。 每册共8个单元,每单元有两篇课文,TEXI A的课文材料主要选自国外书刊,长度为650字左右,通常包含一个故事,Active Words列出了文章中部分使用频率高、组词能力强的单词,并进行介绍,Grammar Tips部分对课文中出现的语法现象进行简要归纳说明,并进行复习巩固练习;TEXT B的课文内容围绕单元话题,从不同的角度提供相关信息,文体基本上为说明文,Practical Writing部分根据高职高专B级考试题型及内容,通过范例进行有针对性的训练,Classroom Activity部分使学生通过对话讨论练习,以英语表达自己的想法,并且深化对相关议题的认识。本课程在加强英语语言基础知识和基本技能训练的同时,重视培养学生实际使用英语进行交际的能力。通过本课程的学习,学生应达到下列要求:词汇认知2500个英语单词(包括入学时要求掌握的1000个词)以及由这些词构成的常用词组,对其中1500个左右的单词能正确拼写,英汉互译。语法掌握基本的英语语法规则,在听、说、读、写、译中能正确运用所学语法知识。听力能听懂涉及日常交际的结构简单、发音清楚、语速较慢(每分钟100个词左右)的英语简短对话和陈述,理解基本正确。口语掌握一般的课堂用语,并能在日常涉外活动中进行简单的交流。阅读能阅读中等难度的一般题材的简短英文资料,理解正确。在阅读生词不超过总词数3%的英文资料时,阅读速度不低于每分钟50词。能读懂通用的简短实用文字材料,如信函、技术说明书、合同等,理解基本正确。写作能运用所学词汇和语法写出简单的短文;能用英语填写表格,套写简历、信函等,词句基本正确,无重大语法错误,格式恰当,表达清楚。翻译(英译汉)能借助词典将中等难度的一般题材的文字材料译成汉语。理解正确,译文达意。表1课程内容与教学要求序号名称主要内容教学要求参考学时1MisunderstandingSpoken EnglishAsking For and Giving Clarification2Text and Exercises1. Exercises and Writing2ListeningExercises2学时合计:48学时(其中实践教学学时比例为50%)理论学时24实践学时24六、实施建议1组织实施建议1) 倡导任务型的教学途径,培养学生综合语言运用能力本标准以学生 能做某事的描述方式设定各级目标要求。教师应该避免单纯传授语言知识的教学方法,尽量采用任务型的教学途径。教师应依据课程的总体目标并结合教学内容,创造性地设计贴近学生实际的教学活动,吸引和组织他们积极参与。学生通过思考、调查、讨论、交流和合作等方式,学习和使用英语,完成学习任务。在设计任务型教学活动时,教师应注意以下几点:a、活动要有明确的目的并具有可操作性;b、活动要以学生的生活经验和兴趣为出发点,内容和方式要尽量真实; c、活动要有利于学生学习英语知识、发展语言技能,从而提高实际语言运用能力;d、活动应积极促进英语学科和其他学科间的相互渗透和联系,使学生的思维和想像力、审美情趣和艺术感受、协作和创新精神等综合素质得到发展; e、活动要能够促使学生获取、处理和使用信息,用英语与他人交流,发展用英语解决实际问题的能力;f、活动不应该仅限于课堂教学,而要延伸到课堂之外的学习和生活之中。2)加强对学生学习策略的指导,为他们终身学习奠定基础使学生养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略是英语课程的重要任务之一。教师要有意识地加强对学生学习策略的指导,让他们在学习和运用英语的过程中逐步学会如何学习。教师应做到:a、积极创造条件,让学生参与制订阶段性学习目标以及实现目标的方法; b、引导学生结合语境,采用推测、查阅或询问等方法进行学习; c、设计探究式的学习活动,促进学生实践能力和创新思维的发展;d、引导学生运用观察、发现、归纳和实践等方法,学习语言知识,感悟语言功能; e、引导学生在学习过程中进行自我评价并根据需要调整自己的学习目标和学习策略。3)拓展学生的文化视野,发展他们跨文化交际的意识和能力语言与文化有密切的联系,语言是文化的重要载体。教师应处理好二者的关系,努力使学生在学习英语的过程中了解外国文化,特别是英语国家文化;帮助他们提高理解和恰当运用英语的能力,不断拓展文化视野,加深对本民族文化的理解,发展跨文化交际的意识和能力。4)利用现代教育技术,拓宽学生学习和运用英语的渠道教师要充分利用现代教育技术,开发英语教学资源,拓宽学生学习渠道,改进学生学习方式,提高教学效果。在条件允许的情况下教师应做到:a、利用音像和网络资源等,丰富教学内容和形式,提高课堂教学效果; b、利用计算机和多媒体教学软件,探索新的教学模式,促进个性化学习; c、合理地开发和利用广播电视、英语报刊、图书馆和网络等多种资源,为学生创造自主学习的条件。5)不断更新知识结构,适应现代社会发展对英语课程的要求教师应不断更新知识结构,适应现代社会发展对英语课程的要求。为此,教师应该做到:a、准确把握本课程标准的理念、目标和内容,运用教育学和心理学理论,研究语言教学的规律。根据学生的心理特征和实际情况,选择和调整英语教学策略; b、发展课堂教学的调控和组织能力,灵活运用各种教学技巧和方法; c、掌握现代教育技术,并能在自己的继续学习和实际教学之中加以运用; d、自觉加强中外文化修养,拓宽知识面; e、要根据教学目标、学生的需要以及当地客观条件,积极地和有创造性地探索有效的教学方法; f、不断对自己的教学行为进行反思,努力使自己成为具有创新精神的研究型教师。2课程考核评价建议1)考核性质:实行学分制考试2)期末考核评价及方式期末考核采取闭卷考试的方法,考核内容为本课程标准规定的内容。3)教学过程评价加大平时考核的力度,避免学生期末考试前突击一下,也可以从根本上杜绝考试作弊现象。考查的形式包括:考勤、上课表现、讨论、课堂作业、课后作业、期中测试、课外其它活动等。4)课程学分形成方式总学分=期末学分*60%+平时学分*40%3教学团队建议教师素质是高职英语课程教学成功与否的关键,教学理念的更新是促使教学方法和教学手段改革的保证。应加强对英语教师在教学理论和教育技术等方面的培训,鼓励他们在教学中积极地、创造性地探索新的教学模式和与行业相关的英语教学内容;要制定教师发展规划,积极创造条件,不断提升教师的“双师”素质。同时,教师也要根据本校的专业设置以及专业对应的职业岗位要求到行业企业进行实践,以提高自身的“双师”素质,适应高职英语教学改革与发展的需要。”4教学条件建议1)充分利用多媒体网络教学平台,实现学生网络自主学习,以及实现作业批阅、答疑、教学管理等多媒体网络教学功能要求,使教师利用英语教学素材库在编辑平台上进行备课、制作多媒体电子课件,使学生根据要求在网上既能进行同步学习(教师进行网上实时授课,学生进行同步学习),又能进行异步学习(教师进行课程发布,学生根据自己的时间在网上进行自主学习、合作学习、研究性学习),使学生的问题能得到及时有效的解决。2)完善现有校园调频台,丰富播放内容,适应听力教学的需求。调频台的功率要覆盖我院每个角落,保证收听方便清晰。内容要与高职英语教学尤其是听力教学要求相配合,力求多样、生动、适时。每天要做到不断滚动播放。5教材编写或选用建议教材选用建议:选取其中能够反映职业特色的篇章进行讲、练,目的是夯实学生的英语基本功,并保证学生英语应用能力考试过级率。第一类是帮助理解与掌握英语语言基本知识的PRETCO复习资料、综合练习及配套的音带。第二类是推荐一定的教学参考书如新标准大学英语、21世纪大学实用英语、实用英语综合教程等,以帮助学生学习系统的语言理论知识。21世纪大学实用英语综合教程1,2册,上海:复旦大学出版社出版,2009 七、附录参考教学实施方案(教学案例)Unit 3 Text A I Cant Accept Not TryingTeaching Objectives:1.
