Have you got diarrhoea? Is it very loose? This is what it feels like. Lesson 3 Have you taken anything for the headache? Are you.? Have you.? Can I.? Do you.? 如: eg: A couple of days. 几天 eg: A couple of paracetamols. 一些扑热息痛(一种解热镇痛药) eg: A couple of minutes. I think youve probably just eaten something a bit rich for you. 接着,医生还使用了Have you taken.? Pharmacist: Are you drinking plenty of water-bottled water? Patient: Ive had a few sips of water-I feel terribly thirsty. Pharmacist: Have you taken anything? Did you bring anything with you from home? Patient: Ive only got these indigestion tablets. Pharmacist: Can I see you the packet? Patient: Here they are, look. Parmacist: Have you taken anything for the headache? Patient: Ive taken a couple of paracetamols for the headache. Thats all. Parmacist: Do you feel tired? Patient: Worn out. I can hardly keep my eyes open. Parmacist: Well, I think youve probably just eaten something a bit rich for you. You know-you are not used to it. Im sure youll be all right in a couple of days with what Im going to give you. Lesson 4 Do you have any alergies? What.? Will I.? Is that.? Are you sure.? Theyll block you off pretty quick You must come straight back. Patient: Whats that? Parmacist: Its a preparation called DIA-STOP. Take two with water now and then another before you go to bed. Then just one, morning, noon and night for three days after that. Patient: No alcohol! Oh- Pharmacist: And take these rehydration salts as well. Three a day in half a glass of bottled water, preferably not fizzy. The salts replace the minerals the diarrhoea has taken out- very important. Before you know where you are, youll be as right as rain. Patient: Will I? Is that all? Pharmacist: Thats all you need, I should say. Just trust me. Patient: It doesnt seem much. Pharmacist: No-but if all you have got is diarrhoea, I promise you it will work. That will be 27 Euros. Patient: 27 Euros! It seems a lot to me. Doctor: Well, this is the simplest treatment we have for your condition as you fave described it to me. And the most effective, according to what you have told me. I can find something more expensive, if you like. Patient: Ah no, thatll be fine. Ill try what you are giving me. Doctor: Im sure you will be all right. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Be careful of what you eat and drink. No unwashed fruit or salads, no undercooked food, no tap water and no alcohol until you are fully better. Dont eat or drink off dodgy stalls or stands- only properly cleaned shops and restaurants. Lesson 7 Emergency call - Enquiring about a problem Nurse: Doctor-Ive got an emergency call for you. Can you take it? It sounds very urgent. Doctor: Yes, of course. What is it about? Nurse: Its a young man, by the sound of his voice, a neighbour of mr Lindley whos a patient of ours. Ive been to Spain, though. 这时,护士2接着问:“Where did you go?” Rushed off our feet is an expression that means very busy. 请认真听下列对话:(右键另存为下载音频) A: Good morning, have you just joined us?
