UNIT 12 DEANS CHALLENGEStory Synopsis:Nick goes to see Coach Haskins to tell him about Dean and Jackies plot to frame him. Coach Haskins asks Nick if he has any proof and tells him that the Soccer Federation wants to suspend him. As he is leaving the office, Nick runs into Dean. Nick reveals that he knows all about the fake endorsement deal. Dean challenges Nick to prove that hes involved.VIDEO LISTENING 1l Nick: Oh, good, you are here. Coach, Ive been trying to speak to you since last night. This whole scandal is because l Coach: Nick, Nick, weve been working together for four years now. Youre my best player, and frankly, Nick, I feel like were family.l Nick: Thanks, Coach. Me, too.l Coach: Im sorry. I didnt know youve been having money problems.l Nick: No, I havent! I hope you dont believe those lies about me. Trust me, Coach. I have not let you down.l Coach: Well, why dont you clear this whole thing up for me, then?l Nick: I would love to! And his sister? This is hard to believe. Why would Dean do this to you?l Nick: Just think about it. Dean is a great player, but hes always in my shadow. He wants you to kick me off the team so that he can be the star.l Coach: Wow! I dont know what to say. This is incredible. I hate to have to ask, but do you have proof?l Nick: Not yet. But Ive been working with Talia Santos at Newsline for the past day or two. Im hoping she can help.l Coach: It may be too late. The Soccer Federation has been calling me for the past two days. They want to suspend you.l Nick: But what about Dean Bishop?l Coach: Hes going to play in the qualifying match.
