Such topic reminds students of the days of their childhood. It is helpful to raise learning interest of students and students are sure to be active in all the activities in this unit.Step one :Presentation and prevision Let students show the language items and questions that they meet during their prevision.New words: appearance , personality Phrases: used to be , used to do Questions: how to describe the people who have changed a lot (设计目的:通过学生展示预习的成果可以了解学生对如何描写人物的掌握程度,一方面复习学过的内容,另一方面可以使学生思考并讨论遇到的问题,时间不需过多。)Step two: Leading in 1:How do we describe people? Look at those pictures, can you use the words to describe a person?(The activity introduces tile key vocabulary. Call students attention to the chart with the headlines Appearance and Personality.)2:Show students some pictures about famous movies stars and then answer the questions .What did Li Xiang look like two years ago?What does she look like now?She used to be _.
