According to a survey which was done in Shanghai, the generation gap between students and their parents is being wider in recent years. Among the 1,000 students who were interviewed, only one fifth of them said they would tell their parents about their feelings and thoughts, and far fewer students would be willing to have a personal talk with their teachers.
