We rented a jeep, which took us to the top of the volcano. As we climbed higher, we noticed fewer and fewer plants and trees. Near the top of the volcano, we observed various alpine plants. We remained a little anxious, as the sky was still cloudy. Finally we reached the top, and we stood there in awe of the tremendous beauty of the Lake of Heaven directly below us. The surface of the lake was as smooth as a bright mirror showing off a reflection of the surrounding hills.Everyone was so excited as they ran around the crater, shouting and taking pictures. At that moment, it seemed that time stood still and I had actually merged with nature.
