At the same time, the candidate (选手) listened attentively with a nervous expression. The number of the short messages indicated how many people liked or supported the candidates. (Given words: share, tip, attentively, shame, comment, topic, indicate, expression, positive)II. While-task activities1. Answer a question according to the given situation.The situation: Supposing on a bus theres an empty seat beside a foreigner, will you sit there and talk with him? Why or why not?2. Read Part A, and answer the question “Which sentence explains the meaning of tongue-tied?” 3. Listen to the recording of the first sentence in Part B, and fill in the blanks “exchange a hello or hi and see if he feels like chatting.”4. Listen to the recording of the rest of Part B, and describe three cartoons according to the recording.5. Read the first two paragraphs in Part C, and choose proper topics from the given ones “weather, age, politics, movie, income, name, interests, religion, nationality, marriage, sports”. 6. Read the last two paragraphs in Part C, and then give some comments on the given dialogue and correct it. The given dialogue:Xiao Fang: What are you reading?Tom: A magazine named Soccer.Xiao Fang: (Looking out of the window) But I like Yao Ming very much.
