课题:M1U1 Project 课型:阅读课教学目标:Read two articles to know something about clubs. 教学重点:Apply the reading strategies and review the attributive clause.教学难点:Apply the reading strategies and review the attributive clause.过程与方法:Step 1: Greeting.Step 2 : Discussion and presentation. (讨论“学校生活”引出“社团”话题。)1. The students discuss with the partners and answer the questions: After one month of studying, how do you think of school life? What do you do after class? Have you ever joined any club to develop your interests?2. The students express their opinions about these above questions, which is to introduce the topic about clubs.Step 3: Listening and reading. (听读文章,回答问题,训练阅读技巧。)1. The students listen to the tape, read the first article and try to answer the questions on the blackboard: Who started the radio club? When did the radio club start? Why did the radio club start?2. The students discuss the questions with the partners and show their ideas to the class.3. The students read the article again and decide which ones are true & which ones are false. The radio club is run by the teachers. The headmaster didnt approve the writers idea about the club. At the end of the school year, all the students use the club to give message to their close friends and teachers.4. The students discuss the questions with the partners and show their ideas to the class.5. The students listen to the tape, read the second article and try to answer the questions on the blackboard: What is the name of the school club? Who started the school club? When do the members of the school club meet?6. The students discuss the questions with the partners and show their ideas to the class.7. The students read the article again and decide which ones are true & which ones are false. The club is started by the Chinese teacher. At the beginning, the writer was a bit nervous in the first meeting. The club members were fond of the poem that the writer wrote.8. The students discuss the questions with the partners and show their ideas to the class.Step 4 : Exercise and consolidation. (找出文中的定语从句并分析、翻译。)1. The students try to figure out the attributive clauses in the two articles.2. The students discuss the sentences with the partners and explain the structure & the meaning of the sentences.Step 5: Conclusion. The students try to make a summary about the things that are learnt in this class.Step 6: Homework.1. Analyze the rest of the attributive clauses in the two articles.2. Try to design a poster for a new school club.3. Figure out the important and difficult points in the two articles.
