IntroductionPacking is of particular importance in international trade. It is one of the essential components of commodity production or the continuation of production. The ultimate purpose of packing is to keep the transported goods in perfect condition and prevent loss and leakage during transportation, and even raise their marketing value. Packing can be divided into two types: outer packing and inner packing. Outer packing, also known as transport packing, is done mainly to keep the goods safe and sound during transportation. The outer packing should be suited for long distance transportation and easy to load and unload. Inner packing, also known as small packing or sales packing, is done mainly to push sales. It can be realized in various forms and with different materials as long as it is nice to look at, easy to handle and helpful to the sales. The inner packing should be attractive，modern, easy to publicizing and raising the marketing value. Letters about packing issues should be concise and clear. In such letters, The buyer can inform the seller of any formerly unexpected requirements about packing. The seller can describe in detail to the buyer his customary packing of the goods concerned and also indicate clearly that he may accept and required packing at the expense of the buyer. As regards outer carton, egg-crating within a carton is no longer permitted because well select goods through the punch panel on the side mark. This is to be replaced with S crating. Please use a piece of 5-ply corrugated cardboard and curve the cardboard around the bulk goods to protect goods and strengthen the carton. Please see example below.Our customers accept only 2 sizes of outer carton. GCOS1 is most commonly used and measured 600 x 300 x 400mm (LWH). The only other carton acceptable is the smaller GCOS2 measuring 400 x 300 x 400mm (LWH). Carton size is critical & cannot be amended. Cartons should NOT be made from recyclable cardboard as such kinds of recycled materials are not strong enough to protect the goods from suffering the damp or damage during container transit / sea freight. We have already confirmed that the number of pairs per carton is 24 this cannot be changed. Cartons must be sealed with tape. Under no circumstances should staples be tied, stapled, glued or shrink wrapped. It do not need to be secured outside with plastic straps. This resulted in lost sales and high costs in cleaning the products. We would ask you to monitor the following points on container loading and confirm back to us that these procedures are in place.1.All POs must be loaded separately. No mixing of POs within a container is permitted. Within each PO, goods must be sorted in size, so that in effect every order is segregated and consolidated. Each SKU must be loaded into the vehicle moving left to right, known as snake loading.2.If the bulk goods is not sufficient to fill the container in height and length, the goods should be snake loaded flat to fill up all length space，leaving spare volume at the top of the container. This helps to prevent collapsed loads whereby goods are loaded to fill height at rear of container, leaving space forward of the goods within the container.3. Containers must NOT be overloaded as this risk damaging the cartons within.4. Care should be taken to ensure bulk stock stay dry in packing and loading areas within the factory. Damp cartons can lead to mould found upon arrival.Chinese version5. All carton labels MUST be forward facing. If carton labels are mixed with some facing inwards, the bulks will be rejected. 6.
