Im from Yang Zhuang Primary School in Sutun .Today, Ill say something about the frist period of PEP Primary English BookUnit 4 At the farm. This unit is mainly about describing the farm after learning the words and sentences.Now, I will explain this lesson from the following aspects:一 The concept of the designAccording to the new curriculum standard aims to makingt Ss take part in the learning actively,developing the studentautonymy of learning;Making the students master much more knowledge in limited time with scientific methords. The real masters of learning are the students themselves.We shold offer more chaces for kids to be actively cooperate with others and experience the fun of English learning.二The teaching background1.Analysis of the context: The context position:The lesson is the first period of the unit 4 At a farm .In grade four top volume Unit4 My home, We have learned some general questions:Are they on the table ? Yes ,they are.No,they arent .So it is easy for Ss to understand the sentences: Are these carrots? Yes ,they are.No,they arent .2.Analysis of the students:The Grade4 Ss still been interested in English,most of the Ss perform very actively in class.三Teaching aims1. Knowledge aims:(1) Students can listen、say and read : tomato, carrot,tomatoes,carrots,these.(2) Students can read the sentence patterns: What are these? They are . Are these ? Yes ,they are.No,they arent .(3) Students can understand the dialogue and gain main information.2.Abilities aims:(1) Students can use the sentence patterns: What are these? They are . Are these ? Yes ,they are.No,they arent . (2) Students can ask and answer about the tomatoes,carrots,apples and so on. 3.Emotonal aims:(1)Students should love their teachers and classmates.(2)Motivate the interesting of learning English , help the Ss strengthen the sense of participation .四Teaching inportant and difficult points1.The important point is to master the four-skilled words.2.The difficult point is to master the pronuciation of the “strict” correctly .五Teaching methords:Task-based teaching and learning,cooperative learning.六Teaching aids:The multimedia, word cards and other nomal teaching tools七Teaching procedureStep1 : Warm up1.Greetings.2.Guessing game:Show some pictures of fruit.( apples grapes strawberries ) Let the students understand the meaning of “these”.3Sing a song: Apple【The purpose of design】By guessing and sing ,motivate the studentsinterest of English learning, arouse the enthusiasm, review the old knowledge and lead in the key important sentences.Step2 : Presentation1.lead-in.Show the picture of a farm .T: Look at the picture.This is a farm.(教读farm) What can you see at the farm ? Do you see any animals? Do you see any vegetales?Ss: T: Today we will know some kinds of vegetables【The purpose of design】Let the Ss grasp the new knowledge naturally through showing the picture of farm.2.learn the words: tomatoes,carrots,try (1)T: Look! What are these? They are tomatoes. Theyer yellow.(起初出示红色的西红柿)Look ,what colour are these ? (出示黄色的西红柿)Ss: They are yellow.T: Yes.yellow tomatoes,its cool.(tomato-tomatoes) Try some please,theyre good/juicuy/.(2) The same way to learn the word:carrotsLets play.(教师把一些水果,西红柿,胡萝卜 放在不透明的塑料袋中,让几位同学摸出两个以上同样的东西,另一个学生猜他们摸了什么东西)【The purpose of design】Its easier for Ss to master the key words and sentences.3.Present the part A Lets talk. Step1:Look at the picture and answer the questions: In the dialogue, how many people? Who are they?What are they talking about? Step 2:Read the dialogue by yourself and answer the questions.Are these carrots ?
