Today I will talk about America Yellowstone National Park.North Entrance Yellowstone National Park is a national park located primarily in the U.S.state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. It was established by the U.S.Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S.Grant on March 1,1872.Yellowstone,widely held to be the first national park in the world,is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features.Eruptions rpn can shoot 3,700 to 8,400 US gallons(14,000 to 32,000 L)of boiling water to a height of 106 to 185 feet(32 to 56 m)lasting from 1.5 to 5 minutes. The average height of an eruption is 145 feet(44 m).Intervals between eruptions can range from 45 to 125 minutes, averaging 66.5 minutes in 1939,slowly increasing to an average of 90 minutes apart today. The Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the United States, and the third largest in the world. The spring is approximately prksmtli 80m to 90m in size and 50m in depth.Grand Prismatic Spring was named by them for its striking coloration. Its colors match the rainbow dispersion of white light by an optical prismprzm:red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is the first large canyon on the Yellowstone River downstream from Yellowstone Falls in Yellowstone National Park. The canyon is approximately 24 miles long, between 244m and 366m deep and between 0.45 km and 1.2 km wide. The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone knjn 黄石公园的大峡谷黄石公园的大峡谷 Mammoth Hot Springs is a large complex of hot springs on a hill of travertine trvti:n in Yellowstone National Park adjacent desnt to Fort Yellowstone and the Mammoth Hot Springs Historic District. It was created over thousands of years as hot water from the spring cooled and deposited calciumklsm carbonatek:bnet (over two tons flow into Mammoth each day in a solution).Over 1,700 species of trees and other vascular vskjl(r)plants are native to the park.Another 170 species are considered to be exotic ztk species and are non-native.Of the eight coniferknf(r)tree species documented,Lodgepole Pine forests cover 80%of the total forested areas.Yellowstone sand verbenav:bi:n are endemicendemk to the Yellowstones lakeshores.黄石沙地马鞭草是黄石公园湖边特有的植物。Yellowstone is widely considered to be the finest megafaunamef:n wildlife habitat in the lower 48 states. There are almost 60 species of mammals in the park, including the gray wolf, the threatened lynxlks, and grizzly bears.Other large mammals include the bison(often referred to as buffalo),black bear, elk, moose mu:s,mulemju:l deer,white-tailed deer, mountain goat, pronghornprh:n,bighorn sheep, and mountain lion. The Yellowstone Park bison herd is the largest public herd of American bison in the United States. The relatively large bison populations are a concern for ranchers. The northwestern wolf(Canis lupus occidentalis),also known as the Mackenzie Valley wolf or northern timber wolf is a subspecies of gray wolf which ranges from the upper Mackenzie River Valley, southward into central Alberta. In Yellowstone National Park, artificially relocated northwestern wolves have been well-documented feeding on elk.
