The be-subjunctive is used in certain that-clause, certain adverbial clause and certain formulaic expressions. The were-subjunctive is used in certain nominal clauses and certain adverbial clauses.3. Ellipsis of the infinitive sign: when to-infinitive are coordinated by and or or; but it cannot be omitted when there is a contrastive meaning, or there is no coordinator between the coordinate infinitives, or a sequence of infinitives occur in a parallel construction.3.
