Learn how to read the new words of Unit4. (P122-123) 1. First, read the new words using the phonetics(音标) and mark(标记) the words difficult to pronounce (难发音的单词) in Unit 4 by themselves.2. Next, read the marked words in turn in small groups. One student read, the others listen and help to correct the wrong pronunciation(纠正错误发音).3. Then, several students read the words aloud in turn in class and the others correct their wrong pronunciations.4. Next, play the tape and ask the Ss to read after the tape to correct the pronunciation.5. Read the words aloud by yourselves again. The teacher walks around the groups to give necessary help.【设计意图】经过一个学期的学习,学生基本具备读音标识单词的能力,因此在读单词阶段,先让学生试读单词;再通过跟读录音,让学生自我纠正一些不准确的发音;最后通过小组互助和老师个别辅导的方式,使少部分拼读能力不强的同学,也能得到有针对性的帮助,争取人人过朗读关。这一环节,主要是培养学生自主学习和小组互助学习的能力。Step 3. Remember the words by doing a challenge.【设计意图】通过做游戏,提高学生的积极性,课堂气氛活跃,效果较好。Step 4. Consolidate the words and phrases1. First, give the students several minutes to try to memorize the words.2. Next, ask them to look at the Chinese and say the English while covering the English words and phrases. 3. Then, get students to work in pairs to spell the words or write down the words with the Chinese given in guide books. Underline the words they havent grasped.4. Finally, ask the Ss to write down the words and phrases they havent grasped on their notebooks for reviewing after the class. 【设计意图】此环节为巩固单词。通过朗读记忆,英汉互译检查,最后使用助学默写几种方式,对单词加以巩固。这一环节有少部分的学生不能当堂达标,需要利用自习课或课余的时间让小组长跟踪检查,老师督促,达到人人过关。Step 5. Read the story and translate into Chinese, then learn how to use the new words and phrases in a story.In our school, students have to follow the rules: Dont arrive late for class. Be on time is very important. Dont run in the hallways . Dont eat in class. Students can eat in the dining hall. Dont fight. Dont listen to music in class. They can listen outside. On school days, students have to wear the uniforms. And on school nights, students cant go out. When they read in the library, they must keep quiet . Dont be noisy. Some students feel terrible about them. They think theyre too strict. Im very sorry to hear that. Because theyre helpful for them.Whats more, I hope they can learn to make their bed ,do the dishes at home. Dont leave a dirty kitchen. Dont keep hair long. Practicing the guitar before go to bed can relax. Remember, these can bring good luck.1. Translate the story into Chinese in groups of two.2. Read the story fluently by themselves. 3. Get the students to retell the story using the pictures or the following semantic map.【设计意图】词不离句,句不离文。词汇教学应采用词句文的教学模式,让学生将单词用到句子和语篇中,让学生在具体的语境中,体会单词和短语的意义;复述故事环节采取两种方式,分为两个层次。吃力的学生可以选择根据图片和提示复述,有能力的学生可以选择根据思维导图来复述。Step V.
