2019-2020年高中英语基础知识 名词的讲解与训练第一节 词法目标要求1、运用词汇理解和表达不同的功能、意图和态度等;2、运用词汇描述比较复杂的事物、行为和特征,说明概念等;3、学会使用3000个单词和400500个习惯用语或固定搭配。一、词 性1. 整体概述英语中共有十种词性(词类),分两大类:一是实词(notional words),即名词(noun)、动词(verb)、形容词(adjective)、副词(adverb)、数词(numeral)和代词(pronoun);二是虚词(function words),即介词(preposition)、连词(conjunction)、冠词(article)和感叹词(interjection)。实词有实际中文意义,能单独充当句子成分;虚词有实际中文意义,但不能单独作句子成分。例如: (1)I promised to finish it on time and in fact I made it. (划线的均为实词)(2)Oh, you are a professor from Tsinghua University, but I didnt know. (划线的均为虚词) 哦,原来你是清华大学的教授,可是先前我不知道。2. 具体用法 名词的讲解与训练 知识要点英语中的名词主要分成两种:一是普通名词;二是专有名词。(具体见下表) 名 词 分 类例 词普通名词可数名词单数形式book, photo, dictionary, pencil , woman复数形式tomatoes, wives, watches, pens, names不可数名词milk, water, rice, fun, progress, music专有名词表示人或地方等专有名称的词,第一个字母需要大些。China, Beijing, Zhengzhou, America, Lily, England, Alice, Jack, Li Hua, Liu Hong-mei,Karl Marx疑难突破1. 可数名词与不可数名词。可数名词主要是一些普通名词,它们既有单数,也有复数,既有规则的变化,也有不规则的变化;不可数名词主要指物质名词和抽象名词。除少数特殊情况外,这些名一般没有复数形式,如果要表示量化,前面要加数量词。如:water(水), milk(牛奶, tea(茶), sand(沙子), bread(面包), progress (进步),advice (忠告),fun (趣事),information (信息)等。再如a kind of music (一种音乐 ),two pieces of news (两则新闻), a bowl of rice (一碗米饭), three cups of tea (三杯茶)等。平时要注意对少数特殊的不可数名词意义上的区分。如water (水)- waters (海水;河水;江水), food (食物)-foods (各种食物),iron(铁)- an iron/ irons (烫斗), success (成功)- a success(成功者), pleasure (快乐)- a pleasure (快乐的事), failure (失败)- a failure (失败者)等。2. 名词所有格。名词所有格多数情况是在名词右上方打一撇或逗号,表示“的”。但如果以 “ s” 结尾的名词只打一撇或逗号就行了,同时也可在其名词前用介词“of”表示所有格。如Li Huas(李华的),Lucys (露西的),Liu Hongmeis(李红梅的),Fang Fangs(芳芳的),students(学生们的),womens(女人的),the city of Shanghai (上海市),the city of Kaifeng (开封城),tomorrows newspaper (明天的报纸)等。即学即练 1.
