Li Lei, the main character in the story, was making efforts to be successful all his life .And from the road to success, his understanding of success became further and further. Part One: (Li Lei was only eight years old by then. At the time of the story, he and his mother were at home, watching TV. ) Li Lei: Mum, who is the man on TV? Mum: A successful man who got the Nobel Prize for physics and he is from China.Li Lei: Really?Mum: Yes, what would you like to be when you grow up?Li Lei: Id like to be a man as successful as he.(He smiles with his finger pointed to the man on TV.)Mum: Thats great! Im sure you will succeed as long as you work hard now. (Li Lei smiles full of self-confidence, thinking that one day he will also be famous; his mother also smiles hoping that the dream his son has will one day e true.)Part Two:(Li Lei was 18 years old. Now he studied in a famous senior school facing the college entrance exam. The family were having breakfast.)Mum: It is a fine day, isnt it?Li Lei: Maybe .But it makes no difference to me.Dad: Why did you say so?Li Lei: I am too tired .I would be driven mad if I continue staying in Grade 3. The life there is too dull; Im just sitting there, working and working, just like a robot. Its a not the life I want.Mum: You may give up .But have you forgotten the dream you have been dreaming for ten years?Li Lei: No .It is just the dream that supports me in my study until now. Dad: Then, why not keep on ?Li Lei: You know ten years is not a short time. You are from university?Li Lei: Yes, I am.Manager: Do you think you can do the job well?Li Lei: Sure, or I wont e. (Li Lei says full of confidence .)Manager: Is this the job you dreamt about when you were only a child?Li Lei: I wanted to be a successful man when I was young.Manager: So you think the job may realize your dream?Li Lei: Im already a successful man, and the job may make me better.(The manager looks at him full of surprise，then Li Lei explained to him .)I say I am successful because I am hardworking and full of self-confidence. With these, I can have great aims in life and I can achieve them little by little. On my road to success, I gained courage, determination, failure and tears. Then as far as I am concerned, success is ing towards me.(After a few seconds, the manager smiled)M: Then you will be a member of my pany.Ending:After Li Lei joined the pany, he spared no effort to make his work excellent. With his great courage and iron willing, his life became colorful and meaningful.We cant consider success as a very difficult thing. As a matter of fact, success is gained by confidence, courage, failure and determination. Even if you were an ordinary person , you may be successful as long as you put your heart into it .Success is not the patent of the famous.There is a saying which goes like this “Success lies in hardworking and wisdom.” So, dont wait any more, just do your best and try more. Because the symbol of success is sweat and intelligence, besides these, nothing more.
