2019-2020年高一下 unit16 Scientists at workAbout the contents: This period contains two parts. Warming up is close to students study. It is used to stimulate students interest of learning through looking at some pictures and talking about their experiments in class. Speaking is used to improve students ability of using language flexibly and help students learn to express advantages and disadvantages. About the students Most of the students in class 14 havent the good knowledge of English .Their vocabulary is small and they know a few sentences patterns. The bad basic causes a lot troubling in speaking. So they are afraid of speaking out for they dont have the confidence of their language, such as pronunciation, grammar and so on. Teaching goalsTarget languages:Phrase: in my opinion a waste of moneyin the future mean v.make any noise as planes domake use of Sentences:AdvantagesIt is good for the economy.It is clean and does not pollute the air.It is important for science.It brings people more fort.It is convenient.DisadvantagesIt is too expensive.It is dangerous or bad for your health.It is bad for the environment.It is unnecessary.Some people will use it for other thingsTeaching important points:1. Master the new words and useful expressions and make the students be free to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of one thing.2. Motivate the students to talk freely and effectively and getting them involved in pair work and group work.Teaching difficult points1. How to finish the task of speaking.2. How to help the students to express their opinions freely.Teaching methods:1. task-based, students-centered2. Individual, pair or group work to make every student work in class.3.
