Sometimes owners forget that their pets are just as used to the warm shelter(住所)as they are. Some owners will leave their animals outside for a long period of time, thinking that all animals are used to living outdoors. This can put their pets in danger of serious illness. There are things you can do to keep your animal warm and safe. Keep your pets inside as much as you can when the weather is bad. If you have to take them out, stay outside with them. When youre cold enough to go inside, they probably are too. If you must leave them outside for a long time, make sure they have a warm, solid shelter against the wind, thick bedding, and plenty of non-frozen water. If left alone outside, dogs and cats can be very smart in their search for warm shelter. They can dig into snow banks or hide somewhere. Watch them closely when they are left outdoors, and provide them with shelter of good quality. Keep an eye on your pets water. Today they celebrate the lions life. They pete with the animals for food as lions eat their cattle. 5. 【解析】选A。 6. 【解析】选A。 根据文章第二段的“The population of Dodos rapidly decreased and the last one was killed in 1681. ”一句可判断Dodo是灭绝的动物之一, 再根据最后一段中的“the Bali, Javan, and Caspian tigers are already extinct”一句可得出其他几种。8. 从第四段中的“The future of the WWFs symbol is far from certain. 结合第一段的“Sometimes owners forget that their pets are just as used to the warm shelter as they are. 12. 【解析】选A。 结合第二段的“When youre cold enough to go inside, they probably are too. 13. 【解析】选A。 从最后一段的“Sometimes owners dont realize that a water bowl has frozen and their pet cant get anything to drink.
