Target languages: (1) Important words an phrases. (2) Important sentence structures.2. Ability goals:(1) To enable the students to talk about their eating.(2) To understand the details about the text.3. Teaching important points: (1) To identify different kinds of foods and talk about eating. (2) What kind of food did Wang Peng and Yong Hui provide for their customers, healthy or unhealthy? Why?4. Teaching methods: (1) Fast-reading and careful-reading. (2) Asking-and-answering activity to check the students understanding of the text. (3) Individual, pair or group work to finish each task. (4) Discussion.三、教学步骤:1. Fast-readingWhats the main idea of the text? (no more than 20 words) Answer: Wang Peng found out why he had lost his customers and decided to win them back.2. Careful-reading(True of False)(1).Usually Wang Pengs restaurant was full of people.(T)(2).He provided a balanced diet in his menu.(F)(3).Yong Hui served a balanced diet.(F)(4).Yong Hui could make people thin in two weeks by giving them a good diet.(F)(5).Wang Pengs customers often became fat after eating in his restaurant.(T)(6).Yong Huis menu gave them energy foods.(F)(7).Wang Peng decided to copy Yong Huis menu.(F)(8).The competition between the two restaurants will never be over.(F)3.
