Note:1. This standard defines that the brand with mark “A” can only be ordered as high grade top-quality steels, other brands can be ordered as top quality steels.2. Depending on customers requirement, all brands in the table can be ordered as high grade top-quality steels (those without “A”) or special top-quality steels (all brands) by adding mark “A” or “B” after the brand which is ordered (delete “A” first for those brands with “A”). Other requirement put forward by customers for chemical contents of brands in the table can be ordered as special requirement. 3. Unified digit codes are listed according to stipulations of GB/T 17616, in which last digit “2” means top-quality steel, “3” means high grade top-quality steel (with “A”) and “6” means special top-quality steel (steels with “E”).4. Rare-earth contents are added in with 0.05% of counting amounts. Results of product analysis are for reference.6.1.1.2 Remaining tungsten, vanadium, titanium in steel should be made analysis and recorded results in quality certificate. Content of Remaining tungsten, vanadium, titanium can be restricted according to customers requirement.6.1.1.3 Content of copper in steel for hot press processing should not be larger than 0.20%. They can be also delivered in heat treatment state (annealing, normalizing or high temperature tempering) if customers require (noted in contract).Round steel for press processing can be delivered after turning, skin-peeling off or other refine finish depending on agreement by both supplier and customer.6.4 Mechanics features6.4.1 The results of longitudinal mechanics features and hardness of tempering or high temperature annealing state of steels measured from steels made by billet after heat treatment should be in accord with stipulations in Table 3.6.4.1.1 When sizes of steels are less than that of sampling billet, steels with original sizes should be used to conduct heat treatment. Those round steels with diameter less than 16 mm and those square and flat steels with thickness not larger than 12 mm should not be conducted shock test.6.4.2 Mechanics features listed in Table 3 are suitable for steels with sectional sizes not larger than 80 mm. For those sizes larger than 80 to 100 mm, their elongation rate after breakage, section shrinkage rate and shock-absorbing power are allowed to be reduced 1% (absolute value), 5% (absolute value) and 5% respectively compared with stipulations in Table 3. Those sizes larger than 100 to 150 mm, their elongation rate after breakage, section shrinkage rate and shock-absorbing power are allowed to be reduced 2% (absolute value) 10% (absolute value) and 10%respectively. Those size larger than 150 to 250mm, their elongation rate after breakage, section shrinkage rate and shock-absorbing power are allowed to be reduced 3%(absolute value), 15% (absolute value) and 15% respectively.6.4.3 Steels which sizes are larger than 80 mm can be sampled after re-forging (rolling) its sampling blank into one with section of 70 to 80 mm, and results of check should be in accord with stipulations in Table 3. 6.4.4 For steels delivered in quenching or tempering state, samples used for checking mechanics features should not be conducted heat treatment according to customers require. Indices of mechanics features can be defined by both supplier and customer after negotiation.TABLE 3Group of steelNo.BrandSize of sampling billetmmHeat treatmentMechanics featuresHB at anneal. or high temp. tempering state HB 100/3000not larger thanQuenchingAnnealingTensile strengthbMpabYieldingPointsMPasElong.rate after break5%Shrink.rate of section%Shock absorbabsorb.
