But whats unbelievable about him and his familys journey is that he has never let negative situations shake or shape his direction. From a young age, Wilson knew he wanted to go for1. When dropping out at seventeen and having little family support, he still started his career as an uphill battle.Thinking positive, thinking big is huge for success, he said, Ive always imagined myself rich, successful and at the top of everything I did. I really believe in positivity. That positive energy shows itself in work and opportunities.Wilson took this energy and ran with it, slowly building a career and name for himself in the music industry, despite criticism from others, financial (money) challenges and the difficulty of 2both his duties as a father, and his great love for making music. With the birth of Wilsons second child, Kai, however, both his positive attitude and career were3dramatically.On September 3, 2017, Kai was born-weighing less than two pounds and with a large welt on the side of his head. Kai was said to have less than a 50% chance of living, and if he did live, there was a 50% chance hed have cerebral palsy (脑性瘫痪). For Wilson, this was terrifying -the unknown, the fear of 4his child. He also felt the powerlessness in watching Kai struggle to5on his own. Wilson was then told Kai was missing a part of his brain, something that would affect all motor skills. He had no 6; he just had to wait. But even in the moments of fear, of helplessness, of pain, Wilson kept positive. He kept creating, kept believing and kept moving forward. In the course of a few months, he had answers. Kai didnt have cerebral palsy, and he would survive. After one month of a breathing tube, Kai was able to breathe on his own, and even began to show7baby behavior.Ive always thought everything happens for a reason, Wilson says, Kai probably shouldnt be alive, and he somehow made it. And everything we expected to happen- his coming out 8, not having cerebral palsy, being able to breathe on his own- it all worked out. Theres a plan for everything. Its this attitude that has 9Riot Ten to success. He released his second EP (唱片), Hype or Die: The Dead EP on February 16, 2017, and his song, Rail Breaker has hit No.1 on all dubstep charts. No matter what life throws at us, Wilson has continued to stay positive and share his passion for music with the world.(1)A . money B . painting C . music D . health (2)A . avoiding B . sharing C . shouldering D . balancing (3)A . quickened B . strengthened C . challenged D . changed (4)A . missing B . losing C . hurting D . refusing (5)A . breathe B . sing C . think D . work (6)A . answers B . dreams C . doubts D . questions (7)A . normal B . strange C . good D . curious (8)A . healthy B . happy C . inspired D . humorous (9)A . driven B . compared C . followed D . introduced 三、 阅读下面A、B、C、D四部分信息或短文,根据信息或短文内容, (共4题;共30分)12. Or even seeing your face made out of chocolate? Done. All you need is a 3-D printer. The possibilities of 3-D printing seem endless. All the user has to do is to design an object on the computer and choose a material to print in. The printers print in hundreds of different materials including glass, sugar and even skin! When the user presses print, the 3-D printer spreads the materials layer by layer and like magic the object is produced. The first 3-D printer was invented in 1986 by American, Charles Hull. But 3-D printing has only become cheap enough recently for most people to use. Designers now use 3-D printing to create unusual things. The Dutch artist Dirk Vander Kooj prints furniture made from old fridges. And doctors have used 3-D printing to print human body parts! The Telegraph reported in February that scientists from Cornell Medical College even printed a man-made ear.But like a lot of new technologies, if 3-D printing gets into the wrong hands, it can be dangerous. In 2011 a group of four men in the US used 3-D printing to produce ATM skimmers. These were placed on an ATM and stole over $400,000 from users of the ATM. It is terrible to think that criminals like them might one day use a 3-D printer to print a gun.But for better or for worse, 3-D printing has been put into use.
