Unit 4 What can you do?A Lets learn & Do a survey綦江区营盘山小学 代春梅教学内容:A Lets learn Do a survey课时目标:1. 能听、说、读、写单词“sing”,“song”,“kung fu”,“dance”和词组“sing English songs”,“play the pipa”,“do kung fu”,“draw cartoons”。2. 能在创设的实际情景中灵活运用句型“What can you do?”,“I can ”。3. 能听懂、会唱歌曲“What can you do?”。4. 能完成“Do a survey”部分的对话任务。5. 鼓励学生了解身边同学的能力,展示最棒的自己。教学重点:1. 能听、说、读、写单词“sing”,“song”,“kung fu”,“dance”和词组“sing English songs”,“play the pipa”,“do kung fu”,“draw cartoons”。2. 能在创设的实际情景中灵活运用句型“What can you do?”,“I can ”。教学难点:1. 新词汇和词组的学习。 2. 能在创设的实际情景中灵活运用句型“What can you do?”,“I can ”。教学准备教师准备多媒体课件词卡。教学过程一、 热身活动(warm-up)1. Free talkT: Hello, boys and girls.Im your new English teacher in this class , Im - How are you?Ss: Im fine, thank you.T: Whats your name? S1:My names T: Nice to meet you. S1: Nice to meet you, too.T: Whats your name?S2:My names T:Can you play ping-pong?S2: Yes, I can. / No, I cant.T:Do you often play on the weekend?/ It doesnt matter.S2:Yes, I do.2. Lead-inT:Do like watching TV?S3:Yes.T:Me too. I like watching Talent Show. and there are some talents in our school. Look, The boy is singing, and he can sing many songs , Chinese songs and English songs,he is a singing talent. The boy is playing the drum , he is a drum playing talent. The girl is dancing ,and she can dance Latin ,and folk dance , she is a talent. The girl is playing the guzheng , and she is a guzheng playing talent. They are great ,and you are great , too ,I know all of you can do many things ,let me guess , can you play football ? can you play ping-pong?.二、新课呈现(Presentation)1.dance(播放一段舞蹈视频)T: Can you? Choose one student to stand and others ask together: What can you do? S1 does action and answers: I can do kung fu. What can you draw?S1: I can draw a/ an 6.Loan words (Be a loan words collecting talent)T:Can you draw a pipa? Can you draw kung fu panda? Look, piap means 琵琶, kung fu means 功夫 ,cartoon means 卡通,their English and Chinese sounds are similar. These words are called loan words. Do you know the others such as pipa and kung fu from Chinese to English.(tofu, shifu, kowtow, won ton)T: Cartoon is from English to Chinese. Do you know the others?(Hamburger, brandy, pizza, cocacola)Please search more and more loan words on the internet. And be a loan words collecting talent. Do kungfu , play the pipa ,Sing english songs , dance , draw cartoons 可调整一下教学顺序。7.sing English songsT:Lets relax and enjoy a song.PPT播放一首英文歌曲T: This is an English song. Listen and repeat English song.Sing . Try to spell: king ring thingSing English songs: Listen twice and repeat. Read in groups one by one. Choose one student to stand and others ask together: What can you do? S1 does action and answers: I can sing English songs. (Please sing)(Choose 2 Ss in each group.)Put up the word card on the board.备注:教学新单词时,要求学生先仔细倾听,认真模仿语音语调,并配上动作说单词。三、趣味操练(Practice)1.Watch and repeat (Be a imitating talent)T:Some students are singing talents. Lets go fighting and be a imitating talent. Watch the video and repeat. Open the books, point to the text and repeat.2.Whack a mole (Be a good memory talent)T:Do you have good memory?
