Module 4 A Social SurveyMy Neighbourhood1. Teaching material:The content of my lesson is Senior English Module4 A Social SurveyMy Neighbourhood. This lesson included some adjective words to describe a place, and include something about Xiamen, including its location, climate, general situation of the city, such as tourist spots. It can help the students know more about Xiamen city and master the way of introducing a city as well as learn vocabulary and grammar items.2. Teaching aims.A. Knowledge:a) Develop the students ability to take part in different activities, through introducing some placesb) Train the ability of collecting and dealing with information, and develop their abilities of getting new information, communication and cooperationc) Learn to describe some buildings and placesB. Ability:a) Train the students speaking ability through individual and pair workb) Train the students reading ability by reading with some reading activities.C. Emotion:a) Make the students know the society ,care for people around them and the societyb) To help them know their hometown well and prepare to make contributions in future.3. Key points and difficulties:a) Analysis how to introduce or describe a city from different aspects, such as its location, climate, and famous tourist attractions etc.b) Learn the ways of introducing a place4. Studying methods:Students center is necessary, Students will be given enough time and chance to practice speaking with their classmates in my class and their passion will be aroused. Students will concentrate themselves on my class and cooperate with their partners actively. Students will practice reading ability according to the teachers guidance.5.
