Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?Section B ( 2aSelf check)(第二课时)一、教学目标1、知识与技能:功能:Learn to talk about cartoon.:(1)学习并掌握生词:culture, reason, film, famous, successful, main, common, unlucky, ready (2)功能语言:One of the main reasons is that Mickey was like a common man. However, he was always ready to try his best. 2、过程与方法:(1)能够通过when/where/who/what/why问题进行文章的构思。(2)通过文章阅读提高scanning/skimming阅读策略能力。3、情感态度与价值观:通过阅读了解卡通片在美国文化的地位,特别是米老鼠的诞生和成名的过程从而了解世界其他国家的文化,形成跨文化的意思。二、教学重难点1、教学重点:( 1 ) 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。 ( 2 ) 阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高学生们的综合阅读能力。2、教学难点阅读2b部分的短文并完成相关要求。 三、教学工具 多媒体课件 电子白板 课本 练习四、教学模式 任务型教学和情境教学相结合五、教学步骤Step1. Lead-in ( 1 ) Free talk . Do you like watching cartoons? What cartoon characters do you know? Where do you usually find Mickey?( 2 ) Play a video about Mickey Mouse for students. 播放一小段米老鼠和唐老鸭的卡通片,导入新课,激发学生兴趣,让学生迅速进入学习英语状态。T: What does Mickey Mouse look like?Ss: It is black and has two large round ears.T: What do you think of Mickey Mouse?Ss: It is lovely/funny/smart/unluckyT: Do you want to know something more about Mickey Mouse?Ss: Yes.T: Lets read the passage in 2b on your book page37.【设计意图】引导学生就自己喜爱的某一动画片进行问答,一方面复习运用上一节课所学内容,另一方面导入新课,为学生创造轻松地学习氛围。Step2. Presentation1 借助电子白板呈现丰富的图片教学生词。为下一步任务扫除生词障碍。 2 训练快速阅读前,进行快速阅读技巧指导。3 Practice skimming 训练快速阅读 Have Ss read the passage in 2b quickly and silently to find the general idea and scan for information. Careful readingRead the passage carefully and silently to find the specific ideas.Give the students three tasks.Task 1: Read the passage carefully and complete the time line on the next page.Then ask the students to discuss the answers with their partners. Task 2: Read the passage again and fill in the facts about Mickey.What does he look like?What was his first cartoon?Who is his girlfriend?Why is he popular?Mickey MouseThen ask the students to show the answers.Task 3: Read the passage once more and discuss the questions in groups.What is Mickey Mouse a symbol of?What cartoon character is a symbol of Chinese culture?Do you think Walt Disney is a smart man? However, he was always ready to try his best. 板书设计 教学反思阅读课是训练学生阅读理解能力的主要途径,也是学生学习新语法和巩固旧知识的主要载体。 新课导入是整堂课的一个关键点,是使学生从平和达到兴奋的转折点。新课导入的好坏,关系到学生在学习下一个步骤,关系到这节课的整体效果。因此,本节课新课前,我设计一个Free talk谈论自己熟悉的卡通人物,引导学生就自己喜爱的某一动画片进行问答,一方面复习运用上一节课所学内容,另一方面自然引出本课的主人翁Mickey Mouse,为学生创造轻松地学习氛围。接下来,我利用电子白板播放一小段米老鼠和唐老鸭的卡通片,充分调动了学生的积极性,拉近了学生和教师的距离,为创造一个热情的、活跃的、和谐的课堂气氛打下基础。 本节课的教学目标主要是培养学生的快速阅读理解能力和细读能力。 快速阅读是非常重要的一环,我们必须不仅在平常的练习和考试中训练他们的快速阅读能力,而且在课堂当中也要潜移默化的培养他们这种阅读能力。 细读课文这个步骤是阅读课的主体,是阅读课的中心任务,为了提高学生的细读课文的能力,我要让学生自己去仔细的阅读课文,去理解课文,去寻找问题,解决问题。同时,学生在阅读的时候,也要养成他们遇到问题通过同学之间的讨论和向老师请教的方式来自己解决问题,这样,老师可以及时归结出在备课时没有准备的重点和难点,同时也给了学生动口的机会。 细读课文之后,我通过让学生回答有关课文内容的一些问题来检验学生的阅读效果,还通过让学生复述课文的方式来检验。在学生回答问题和复述课文的过程中,给与必要的提示和帮助,允许他们口头上的一些小错误,不要影响他们的积极性。 总的来说,我要本着学生为课堂教学的主体,教师起主导作用的原则,注重课堂气氛和教育节奏的把握,利用电子白板辅助教学,在尽可能调动学生各种感官器官的情况下,提高学生的阅读理解能力和其他方面的能力。 5 / 5
