教学案例一、教学内容: 外研版八年级英语上册Module 9 Population Unit 1 The population about China is about 1.37 billion. 二、教学背景: 本课是河西区新青教师三年培养计划中的巡课任务,我选择的班级是八年一班,本班班主任由我担任。区里对于巡课十分重视,所以在准备的过程中,我也投入了很多的精力。三、学情分析:本次授课依旧选用了我作为班主任所带的班级,学生进入八年级,青春期是最关键的时期。有些学生已经出现了厌学的情绪,尤其是对于英语这样一门用非母语传授的课程,所以在实际授课中需要注重激发他们的学习兴趣,并在他们已经学习过的知识的基础上传授新知。四、教材分析:1. 话题:本次授课选择的是Module 9 Population的第一课时The population of China is about 1.37 billion,这是一节听说课,注重听说水平的培养。2. 课型:Listening and speaking听说课,主要通过任务型教学锻炼学生听说水平。3. 重点语法:大数字的阅读4. 教学目标: (1)知识与技能:a. 1. To understand population-related topics.2. To listen for specific information.3. To be able to read and understand large numbers.4. To be able to talk about population and related problems.(2)过程与方法:1. self-learning: observe and summarize the way to read numbers2. cooperative and communicative approach: cooperate with others and complete the task(3)情感、态度与价值观: Through knowing the situation of population in different countries and the problems caused by increasing population, students should arouse their thinking and awareness to protect the environment.5. 教学重点:1. Look at two pictures and say what they can see.The video has a lot of big numbers. Use the video to lead students to topic-related situation. Pictures has the same function.Step 2: Listening practice.1. Play the tape for students once. Ask them to pay attention to the numbers and finish two questions.2. Check the answers.1. Listen to the tape. Pay attention to the numbers and finish Activity 1 on the paper.2. Check the answers with the teacher.The numbers in this part is big but not difficult. Students can have a general idea about big numbers and face a question: how to read them?Step 3 Chain game: Count numbers1. Tell students that we will play a chain game about counting numbers. 2. Tell them to be loud and quick as much as possible. 3. Choose a student and start.1. Listen for the game rules.2. Start to count one by one.Small numbers are easy. In this part, students open their mouths for the first time. They can practice easy numbers and prepare for large numbers. In addition, game is relaxing and can ignite their interest.教学过程Step 4: Read easy numbers. 1. Tell students that they will see some numbers. Ask them to read as soon as they see them.2. Show the numbers and ask them to read.3. When finish reading a group, stop and illustrate how to write numbers more than 20, less than 100 and how to read numbers more than 100 but less than 1000.Read the numbers as quickly as they can. Pay attention to the red parts on the screen.Students have already learnt how to read or write easy numbers in primary school. This part is to review and set up a basis for the tasks later.教学过程Step 5: Read big numbers.1. Show big numbers on the screen. Ask the students if they know how to read.2. Look at the screen and pay attention to the colored commas. Remember what they are.2. Try to read the large number 1,234,506,000Language point teaching.Step 6: Exercise1. Show some word-related pictures and the English meaning of the new words.2. Ask the students to fill in the blanks with a new word. 3. Read the new words. 1. Look at the pictures and find a new word to fill in the blanks.2. Read the new words.Learn the new words to make the listening of the passage later easier.Step 8: Listen and answer the questions.1. Ask the students to look at Activity 3 on the paper. Tell them they will listen to the recording of the dialogue and they need to listen carefully and find out the answers. 2. Play the recording once.3. Play the flash of the dialogue and ask the students to check answers through watching.4. Ask some students to elicit their answers. 1. Look at the paper. Read the questions in Activity 3 to predict what they are going to listen.2. Listen to the recording carefully and answer the questions.3. Watch the flash and check the answers.4. Elicit answers with the whole class.Students leant the new words before. So the dialogue is not difficult for them. All they have to do is to listen for the specific information, which, in this dialogue, is the numbers. Step 9: Listen and read.1. Play the tape for students. Ask them to read after the tape. 2. Give them two minutes to practise reading in groups.3. Call some groups to show.1. Listen to the tape and read after it. 2. Practise reading with classmates.3. Show. Practise their oral English by reading the dialogue themselves. Step 10: Ask and answer. 1. Show the example dialogue and the chart to them.2. Tell them to practise the dialogue in pairs. Use the numbers in the chart.3. Call some groups to show.1. Observe the chart. Practise the numbers in the chart.2. Read the example dialogue with his partner.3. Show.Use the dialogue to practise reading big numbers. Step 11: Free talk1. Ask the students: What problems are caused by population increase?2. Discuss.3. Show some pictures. 1. XXX , XXX , XXX , XXX noisebillion million thousand4. 131.4 million : point 六、反思:授课之前,我进行了精心的备课,根据学生特点,设计了整节课的所有活动,并上网查找资料,在其他教师的指点下,准备好了本课所需的辅助PPT,学案以及教材。本节课课型为听说课,要求学生多听,多念,多交流,多说。本节课有大量大数字念法,对于学生来说,对他们的口语能力要求比较高。在本节课的教学过程中,我根据以及教材的难易程度,由易到难地,设计了多种形式的教学活动。课后,经过专家和教研员以及各位同科老师点评,反思这节课,我觉得本课有以下几个特点和亮点。如数字的教学环节,我从易到难,先让学生复习已经学过的数字,并且进行口头练习,再进入到大数字的学习中。在单词的讲授中,由于学生已经在课前进行充分预习,因此,我采用英英解释,让孩子们迅速反应并说出单词,锻炼能力。课程的密度大,但内容实际,在操练对话的过程中,让学生多读,多说,练习口语和听力,习得语言。但同时,我反思这节课,结合英语科区教研员和各位专家所提出的建议,找出以下不足和仍需改进的地方:1. 课前应该交代一下目标,导入视频只是单纯的播放,没有设置问题。2. 学会大数字朗读之后,没有及时练习。3. 题目应该再降低难度,对于学生来说比较难。4. 对话中所出现的语法知识没有讲清楚,在知识上存在空缺。5. 德育渗透不宜上升的程度太高,要适度。6. 作为听说课来说,应该以更多的输入(听)和更多的输出(说)为为主,而单选题应该比重变少,以免学生放错重点。7. 最后的活动缺乏语境和分组的明显性问题。只是单纯地进行念对话和填数字的问题,而缺少了交际诱因。8. 板书欠规范。在以后的教学中,我需要在从学生的角度出发,再次考虑整节课的连贯性和难度系数。此外,多进行板书练习,并且提高每堂课的教学效率,45分钟多一些活动,让学生学有所得。
